I'm doing Oulton two weeks today and Croft. Then a couple at Anglesey towards the end of April, I think. A race or two as well. I've just cancelled loads though as the current contract has no time off built into it and I can't really argue against that with the daily rate either.

Both Trackbikes are in for a full suspension refresh and a load more stuff on the track S1000RR too.

How did 666 get on.
Think he did fine. He was with Parkitt racing having his front pre-load tweaked. Saw him a few times when I was on track too. Nice looking 6R, good to say hi & chat briefly. Stunning afternoon & I had a lot of fun.

Glad to hear that - really nice lad Grahame seemed to be on the one road ride out I saw him on, and seems genuinely keen to ride and enjoy his riding .
It now begs the big question , how did the Linksybloke /Zx7r story go.. sighting laps....trackday ... Full day ...??
Surprised no word/words so far ..?

New bars and and quicker action throttle, so I can st myself even more when I twist it! Just stuff to sharpen it up a bit, but the suspension is the main thing, as it'd be nice to be able to not run on at Hissy's

Oh and a race light with a switch on the bars.

Yep

It doesn't have to be wired into the loom, so it can just be recharged separately, but it does have to have a switch on the bars so you can turn it off or on as needs be.

Why are you running on at Hizzys?
The front suspension is completely bottoming out and the front tyre is taking the load and squaring off like a rear tyre normally does. It won't help that I'm a fat bd again, but there is nothing left on the brakes. The rear is miles in the air and flapping about too. That's the real problem corner, as its downhill and high in 4th into a tight 2nd gear chicane, so really highlights the problem.

Either way, it needs something doing even if its just in my head.

He seemed content & reported it as functional, he had let Gav Bartlett out in the last session when I was leaving. I'm sure he'll be along with more soon.

Yeah it won't turn if you're bottoming out. Are you still on the brakes at the apex?
I can't get to the apex, as I can't get the thing to stop when I want it to. I'm having to brake a lot earlier and softer, I'm fine carrying a bit of brake, but it's just annoying having to ride the way I'm having to. Not saying I'd be breaking any lap records, but it's killing me at the moment.

My R1 was like that when I first got it, I bought a different set of forks that was supposed to have K Tech springs it, I couldn't get it to do anything on the brakes, I used it twice at Cadwel and Once at Croft before I lost my blob with it and pulled the forks apart.

A quick call to K tech and the right springs were sent for my weight and type of riding (road or track) and it was a different bike.
I've been getting proper fked off with it. That and my fking Achilles which is still knackered 3 months on amd means I'm pushing 16 stone now. I was supposed to lose a stone with exercise not put another stone and a half on.

Over to InFront in Chester. James has had a good fiddle with the suspension on TDs and does the tyres at Oulton, so I know him well
