Discussion
Just posting to show how things can go to st quite quickly! People are far too bothered about what others think, group progression, forum hierarchy.. etc. I just wanted a faster/better bike to learn on and that didn't really go to plan.
I'm pretty positive all things considered, wouldn't have been if I came away not diagnosing the problem. Onwards & upwards.

Haha, they are indeed.I'm pretty positive all things considered, wouldn't have been if I came away not diagnosing the problem. Onwards & upwards.
You will be right next time out, I will follow you around and see if the bike looks ok when following it.
Then I will stand you up mid corner while bossing everyone in the intermediate group, after that first session I will move up to the fast group and probably do a bit of tuition for the NL guys.
Out of curiosity though, why did you sell the SRAD? 750 or 600?

I agree with Yazza, my bike was setup terribly, I felt like jacking it in. I was honestly ready to call it a day. Now its like a new bike. I wasted so many trackdays now I look back.
And for the umpteenth time of asking, where do I send the invoice???moanthebairns said:

It was a 600, just wasn't that interested in it.. it was pretty gutless and wanted something more modern having made the decision to get more into it. My Zx6 is a hell of a lot faster (in a straight line )
Ok, fair enough, never really liked that model so understand.I have struck lucky with my bike but it isn't without its faults, has some nice stuff on it but still needed tyres, full service, fork rebuild including bushes, wheels bearings, brakes needed work etc etc etc.
This was all on a bike that supposedly needed nothing.
It handles fine for me and never misses a beat but if I am being honest then I am not that good to notice it's flaws. Its quick enough but those bloody 1000cc things just romp away and if it's well ridden then they are bloody hard work to get past.
Its going to be a shame really come winter as it is a shared bike and I cannot afford to buy it outright and that is when it needs to go to either me or my brother for various reasons so it most likely will be sold and then I have to hunt for one within my budget. Probably a steelie CBR.
Your ZX6 will be fine now and I really hope it is for you. Like I said, I will follow you around in the first session to see how it looks.

I spose its the nature of our business means work book up quite far in advance and being self employed you cant just ditch customers and when im not at work then im booked up for 'family days' and other such boring things ha.
