Just spoke to reactive suspension, sounds like bushes in the steering damper are fked. It's a good job I like this fking bike.
Hopefully reactive suspension are a bit more, erm, reactive than every other suspension outfit I've experienced thus far.
Have you had a day without any bike issues yet? what a pain in the arse, think I'd have spat my dummy by now.Hopefully reactive suspension are a bit more, erm, reactive than every other suspension outfit I've experienced thus far.

I'm going to call this the mckeann line, he did scrub in my tyres to the edge for me before I put the line back!
People cleared out pretty early when the clouds rolled in
Proof that mckeann CAN be over taken...

There's too much of an obsession for me at the moment with laptimes. When I started doing TDs it was about trying to get to the top of Novice, then Inters, then into Fast whilst doing as many different tracks as I could. It was about learning to corner, learning to read a track, learning to master one corner at a time. During this time, there was a group of us just starting out. None of us crashed badly, none of us hurt ourselves and even a minor crash was a rare occurrence. We had some good banter and some lifelong friendships were born.
However, this year there have been more crashes in our groups than all of my previous years of TDs put together. This year has also been highly competitive with laptimes. I wonder if there's a connection?
I feel bad anyway with regards to dropping the bike but feel worse now! However, this year there have been more crashes in our groups than all of my previous years of TDs put together. This year has also been highly competitive with laptimes. I wonder if there's a connection?
I hate that wait after a red flag too, waiting for your friends to come back and you are very relieved when they do, I am truly sorry to everyone who was with me on Tuesday that I put you all through that horrible wait and that realisation that one bike hasn't come back.
I put it down to impatience sadly, wanting to pass someone at arguably the wrong point, I should have just waited but I didn't and have paid the price. I have however learnt a massive lesson albeit a costly one, that will never happen again, I was a much better rider after my big off last time and I do think I could be a better rider this time just by implementing a bit of common sense and self control.
I was having fun but wasn't riding particularly smoothly or well so I will take it as a wake up call.
It was a massive shame as it was a lovely day and I was surrounded by some good guys who offer good advice and are good to be around so again, my apologies to Ryan(yazza), Graham(hebegb), Simon(Loon), Gareth(gwm), Keith, Neil(Mckeann) and the two other guys from the Garage. It won't happen again guys!
I'm not one for chasing times and I certainly wasn't that day, I was riding faster but like said, I wasn't riding well or smoothly and that could have added to my problems, I prefer to just build up through the day and don't care about times so I looked a tit on Tuesday as I normally suggest to others to just have fun and not worry about things and go slowly slowly into the day!
Anyway, enough rambling, I will be back on the bike at Pembrey early August so that will shake the post crash crap out, I have no demons about riding again and I know what to do. That will be it though for this year as the bike is getting sold to my brother, joint ownership is good at first but not a good idea especially when something crap happens.
It was good to meet BN and Aky yesterday too, all looked to be going well!

I don't think you realise how fast Loon is, he's no slowcoach. Maybe next to McKean he is (like me) but he isn't slow.
You know I'm messing ... Loon is faster than I'll ever be and that's fine with me. Glad you like the Fireblender.

I'd just leave your steering damper in the garage mate and ride without one. Its not essential, it's just covers up bad technique.
It didn't shake it's head or anything much, just felt weird but it's definitely me and not the bike. Kept turning in too early without the damper.gwm said:

Anyone up for the double header in august at OP?
Appears i might have really bad flu on the 11th and 12th august..
I'll be looking for a track bike i think in the next month or so.
Sell you mine, it can do 1:54 round OP dontchaknow... Appears i might have really bad flu on the 11th and 12th august..

Looking at booking the Tuesday 14th July @ OP as well - but need to get paid first as bought a load of furniture for the house yesterday.
Also will need a tow bar and trailer sorting.
F**k this is addictive isn't it.
I think i need me a Solo DL , that stuff is ace, a huge amount to learn from that - it will definitively remove the " I'm sure I do this here and this there...." , when the hard evidence of what one actually does do, everywhere, is indisputable....great stuff , and sorry I cocked it up at the last session for that "tow" Neil, you'd only have got bored anyway, and i thought I was staying out front and doing a job through traffic so well, it did gee me up a bit anyway just thinking you were there .....Enjoy Brno !!
ooops....wrong thread!

The excuses had started the second I asked for a shot
Post some of yours just to show them how it's done. I'm uploading the video of your session now. Basically you never stop accelerating on it, yet the front never appears to wobble? Are you still leaning over the front on my bike?
