Thundersport is only just below BSB level IMO.
I do agree with you, but the times are quite a bit off BSB level. A mate of mine racing in Stock 1000 does 1:37s round there, 3 seconds/lap is a massive difference at that level. Especially considering some of them are on full blown superbikes. George29 said:

Do you have a beard , George ?
I don't.hebegb said:
I did not see you at Oulton on Tuesday then ,whilst I was talking to Ross and some of the other guys down that day - would have said hello if I had known you were going to be there....somebody said you had a bit of a beard that day, so I thought I had seen you - wrong then ...No matter.
I was there on Tuesday with Ross, might have had a bit of stubble but not a beard, I end up with a ginger beard so I never let it get long! I was the one who probably looked massively hungover on Tuesday.bass gt3 said:

I know he'll read this and not reply but the daft fker is wasted just doing TD's, he really is FAF. (fast as fk)
I fkn hate him.
(no I don't, he's way too nice to hate)
The wker
He'd be even quicker with a couple of changes to the setup. I fkn hate him.

The wker
And yes, he is FAF!
The commitment Neil must be having going into some bends and the degree to which he is getting on the gas to get to a 2.11 is phenomenal.
Let's see how the guys get on this week. Good luck. I think the track may get a bit greasy though as the ambient air temps are forecast for 36 degrees, so the track temps will be hitting high 50s......

More to come tomorrow but the traffic is a problem.
Few spits of rain, and I was showing the guys in the garage the way round as it was their first time. Awesome track though. Off for some cheap beer and a bit of Trackday banter

I've got you scared!
Having come back from Brno where Neil has done a 2.11, I can confirm that this is ridiculously fast. I couldn't crack below 2.21.... There were two WSB riders going 2.05s. A Dutch girl on a 600 was doing 2.10s though, with some of the instructors unable to stick with her through the bends on S1000RRs. It was the quickest t/day I've ever been on, where the tracktime was shared with Bike Promotions, a German company who seem to attract very quick riders... Over 50% of the riders were doing sub 2.20s

Quite pleased with myself.
I had 2 very short sessions to start with where the visor kept fogging. Trying to lift a visor when committed to a corner is no fun, especially on a new circuit. I made the mistake of having stodgy food at lunchtime and cut the first session short after lunch due to the amount of smoke coming out of my arse. Steady progress on Day 1 and got down to 2:20.3.
I'm looking to try and grab a few more seconds tomorrow subject to having slightly bigger balls.
Brno is an excellent track. Plenty to keep you busy for the length of the circuit.
The beer is fking dirt cheap as well

You'd love it Si. It's already been great fun and we've only got the first day under our belt Very undulating circuit with some tricky corners to learn, but it gets you smiling when you start joking the dots together. Hotel position is good in the town and very well equipped . Eating and drinking out is dirt cheap
