I NEED to do Anglesey. Looks so good. I may need to book a day there then head over to Cadwell as I need to go back there as well.

Anyone at Silverstone Wednesday? Currently doing these for anyone who is going:

5th: Silverstone
15th: Snetterton (I know all you PH lot are and I've said in the thread)
19th: Oulton
24th: Brands Indy
26th: Donington (I know a few of you are and have mentioned)
September 30th: Brands GP

You do know that Anglesey and Cadwell are more or less at opposite ends of the country?

You'd want a day spare between the days. You'd struggle to do a full day at either circuit, then drive in rush hour traffic to the other and then go on track the following day. You'll be top driving past both Manchester and Leeds, one of those in rush hour traffic so add an hour and a half to the journey with the chaos around those cities at that time.

You make a fair point! And Olly, I was. Might forget that idea now.

Castle Combe this Wednesday anyone?
I might pop along to watch as I've got a mate who's going round on Street Triple. He won his place in a raffle and tried to get me to join him but the 10 min sessions once an hour for £130 for the day seemed naughty money.

What are you riding?

It's not too bad actually, but yeah it's a little steep I guess. The car days are £170 and you generally get five fifteen minute sessions so it's not too much different. Occasionally they go to open pit format if the turnout is pretty quiet.

I'll be riding a Yellow and black BMW K1200R, and will be meeting a friend on his white GSXR 750.

If you make it, pop over and say hi. Always good to meet a fellow PH'er smile

I suppose the maximum of 12 bikes on circuit is some recompense but for me it was a bit much.

I'll be arriving on an early R1 that looks like it's been bolted together from 3 or 4 different bikes. Hopefully the weather holds out for you on circuit (looks a bit showery) and me arriving by road as half my electrics are choc blocked together (been trying to sort some "issues" - hence the excuse for the ride out).

Compared to other track days, it's pretty poor. But i don't have a trailer at the moment, and so stick to combe because it's close. This way i can park my car at the circuit (tools & spares) the night before, and ride my bike down in the morning.

True, it's nice and quiet. It needs to be, as combe is a car track and it's fairly treacherous on a bike, they even add in an extra chicane to slow everyone down. Odd though, that apart from novice group, there are no other classes.

I'll keep an eye out for your R1 smile

Just got back from my weeks holiday down near Llanelli, had a trackday booked at Pembrey for the Saturday so decided it was too far for just that and to have a holiday too!!

I was back down in novice because my brother was in inters and we share the bike, didn't want to go in fast due to a myriad of excuses haha.

Had a good day on the bike, the weather held for us too which was nice of it.
I thought I would be fine getting back on after the relatively quick get-off at Oulton last time out, I was fine with the outright speed of the bike but things certainly do go round in your head, namely at the quicker parts of the circuit like the fast right hand kink.
I wasn't nearly as quick as I have been, I would say the get-off has set me back about 3 trackdays in speed but I wasn't riding there to be quick (especially after wrecking a joint owned bike), just to get back out on the bike and have some fun so i generally didn't worry about any of these things, I had a great time on the bike, arguably my favourite trackday to date.

Anyway, GWM and MTB will be happy, the bike has been sold to my brother and I may or may not buy another one, it won't be within the next year though.
I have enjoyed it this year, maybe not as much as i thought I would but that I think is due to sharing a bike with someone, this really does weigh on your mind and the bike has never truly felt like my own so you can imagine that chucking it down the road really did not help this!

I will be staying involved in bikes though as a couple of friends are going racing next year so I will be their pit bh, I also plan to do one or two of the plop enduros and may borrow my old CBR to do Pembrey weekend next year but i just won't have one of my own for a while.

Cadwell 3rd August

First time in Inters - was worried I would be too slow and feel out of my depth but on the day I felt ok. Slower than most but stayed towards the back so I was clear of most other riders.

New EBC sintered pads, and the refreshed suspension were a massive difference! I initially went out first session without checking rider sag, and the rear felt like it was skipping around when I was accelerating around Chris Curve. Checked it next in and it was sitting about 40mm, adjusted it to 30mm and felt good after that.

My best track day so far, took me a couple of sessions and depending on traffic, but I could get 2:01 consistently (timed through that RaceChrono app but good enough for me). 3 red flags through the day, but generally I found the standard of riding far less varied. Think I'll try book into Inters from now on, as it definitely made me ride better too.

Video of one of the sessions before lunch:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o79HAh13G2k&fe...

2:20 is the guy who was using the chicane as a short cut to overtake people, before being told off.

But more importantly, 3:10 is me over taking MTB at Coppice biggrin (he has already text me saying it was bks laugh).

Tyre wear - so close to the edge!

Oh yeah, and this happened while driving down the M6 in the hire van:

Driving along at 70mph when both front windows blew in with a loud bang. Still no idea what happened and I now have the joys of a fight with the hire company over fault and liability!

Two days at Anglesey for me and hebegb along with a few other friends from around the country. I buggered up a rear wheel sensor with my mechanical muppetry, so spent most of Saturday riding without any techie gizmos. Unfortunately the bike set itself into Rain mode as a result, but we overcame by plugging my bike into a other S1000RR in our garage and conning it I tothinpking all was OK so we got it into Slick for a couple of sessions. Unfortunately the bike didn't like being conned and it was a bit of a stop / start day as result, until someone managed to find a spare sensor lead from elsewhere in the paddock and we were away.

Obligatory pic over the top of the circuit at Anglesey whilst having a little play with a friend and "foe" from last year's endurance races.

Goods pictures and a sexy bottom.

I was talking to him via text message yesterday, right up until he started talking about laptimes.
