I would never pass there.
One of them adventure type things that are faster than sports bikes on the tight stuff.
It's OK though when he's a lot quicker than you. You need to post up another slow sports bike, not one of those adventure bikes, as they are just too quick. Did you see them at Thruxton at the weekend, fk me those GS's, Multistradas and Versys can't half shift round there. Yeah, they were that fast no one could see them.Mate's rearward facing camera, while MTB was still wobbling around. I clearly need to get off my seat more!

ETA: Sound is terrible so I wouldn't bother.

Has anyone tried to book this Friday at cadwell with no limits. The group's say pink and green rather than the usual novice etc. Thought it might be my phone but other days are normal
Stay clear. It's No Limits race weekend. All the racers are there and this is their test day. The groups are ACU only and capacity defined. There may be a slot for non racers, but it will still be full of them. Biker's Nemesis said:

It doesn't matter how fast they are in the corners if you just park your bike in the way before they turn in One of them adventure type things that are faster than sports bikes on the tight stuff.
Only pic I can find of me overtaking at the hairpin is this one

Not for me, I just can't see it as anything over than a pretty brutal pass if you're the same speed through there.
How so? All you have to do is take a wide line through the last bit of Hall Bends and it lines itself up beautifully! It's just a pretty simple block pass.Hope to see you soon .

George - I must arrange a day out up there with Al Naylor and the lads on here , and yourself of course , then we shall know you are there and you can show us where exactly and how you do these passes , it was unfortunate that you did not seem to be aware we were all at Oulton the day you were there last ....
Hope to see you soon .
I openly admit I was shocking last time I was out at Oulton. First time riding for 3 months and in quite a bit of pain from my collar bone, still was worse than I expected! I'm not proclaiming to be super fast or anything, far from it, but passing at Cadwell isn't as difficult as being made out. Hope to see you soon .
Will happily have a day out there when I get back up to speed. Determined to break 1:40 there, so will be trying to get up there quite a bit when I get back from Mugello,

A "block" pass is a brutal pass on a trackday IMO. The wide line out of Hall Bends is a lot earlier as you effectively square the last two corners due to a late swooping line on the first left. My point is that it's not a good pass with someone of a similar pace on a trackday, there are better places
The only place I've been passed at Cadwell that I'd describe as brutal is up the inside of the gooseneck! There probably are better places to pass, but if you're on a 600 and someone in front is on a 1000, you have no chance really from coming out of Barn pretty much all the way to Mansfield. hebegb said:
Breaking 1.40, and nothing else, would be a decent day !

Got down to either 1:41 or 1:42 last time I raced there, will have to dig out the timing sheet. It's definitely do-able. Al was doing 1:37s fairly consistently on Saturday/Sunday when I was there helping him out. Ps don't be shy - say Hi next time !
Didn't actually know you were there last time!

Ah no worries. I'll stay away. Was just going to be a last minute outing on my road bike as well so definitely better to give it a miss. Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
