It was then that I saw the thing that should see him banned from fast group. A clear visor with sunglasses underneath. No. You either have a clear visor, or a tinted one. You do not wear sunglasses!
Sorry to ask a daft question but why is wearing sunglasses with a clear visor any worse than someone wearing prescription (clear) spectacles with a tinted visor?

It looks fking st in the photos.

I am kinda with loon on this, Sébastien Bourdais was the only professional racer I have ever seen wearing glasses in a lid. I guess your up and down and moving around loads on track compared to road, and maybe specks could easily fall out of place. I dunno, I'm not a four eye bd. But shades under a visor is seriously uncool
Yeah it looks uncool but bov'. Glasses don't move whilst my helmet is on. I have started to wear contact lenses but being a seriously specky tosser with astigmatism, contact lenses aren't great for me.

I've had brief messages with this chap. Basically he shows up with a big bus kitted out with kitchen, toilet, games consoles and bunk beds at the tracks. He says interest in normal trackdays has been poor due to people being ok slumming it for £35. But racers seem to be up for it.

Just an idea that maybe the next trackday we organise on here, say brands or snertton away we could hire it or something.
Oh I can see your fking game a mile off. "What goes on the bus, stays on the bus". Not for me you perv.

Joking aside I think its a great idea. I'd stay in hotels in a heart beat but having just a trailer means I'm limited to fk all. I could hire a van but when you've done 14 or 15 a year, and already loosing two days pay it soon adds up. plus its fking agro hiring the bds.

I need a company van for next year.

I was half joking, but people wearing sunglasses under a clear visor just look like someone who is very law abiding, even overly law abiding. If they won't risk a tinted visor on the road, then why risk riding fast on track? It was just something that leapt out at me about a guy with a track bike, who looked like he'd never been on a track in his life.

I'm not the fastest, but going in Fast group when you're very slow, not knowing what a red flag means and stopping on an apex and then fiddling with your bike instead of either legging it, or wheeling the bike away is a joke.
