I was awesome when younger, I fear my 17 yr break was a little long!
I wish I could go back a few years too, mid 30's would do it for me, I was nuts back then, old age kind of slows you down.I've only just turned 40 so may get it back or a little bit if it, if I can find the money and time that is!!

If you'd asked, I could e pointed you at a tyre dealer selling brand new MY2015 Michelin wets for £260 a pair
Isn't that because Michelin track tyres aren't exactly renowned for being good? I'd go for Dunlop or Pirelli/Metzeler over them.
I'm not slow, but nor am I quick and 99.99% of all tyres are way better than I could ever hope to be. Do you really think you can outride any modern tyre?

So where exactly did I say that? Or are you just twisting my words?I'm not slow, but nor am I quick and 99.99% of all tyres are way better than I could ever hope to be. Do you really think you can outride any modern tyre?
They don't get any positive press really. Look at the lap times in that power one cup thing that Hottrax ran, slower times than other classes. There is a reason they are cheap - because no one would buy them if they were the same price as Supercorsas. You don't have to be exceeding the limit of them, but why would I even try something that I never hear anything positive about when I can stick to what I know works, and what I am comfortable with.
I'm desperate to book a trackday, but there is not much available at the moment. All weekend dates are booked up.
Was looking at Mon/Tue next week but the weather forecast does not look good for Silverstone/Snetterton.
I may join you on the 28th, if spaces are available when I go to book ( which will be when I can see the weather forecast!)

It's not that, it's there's a lot of talk over tyres. The Hottrax Michelin Cup isn't a fair comparison as it was entered by people just because they ran Michelins on their bikes, whereas other races on the weekend didn't insist on you running a specific set of tyres. The standard of rider was lower, that was all. They don't get any positive press really. Look at the lap times in that power one cup thing that Hottrax ran, slower times than other classes. I disagree with what you're saying. I've never heard anything positive about them except they are cheap. But I'll stick to Pirellis and then it doesn't matter
OK, I did threat about coming to Cadwell....I endured a 8hr drive from Corwall on the Saturday before you last track day and just couldn't face the journey and risks associated with Cadwell!
