He was pretty quick although I think that Ana Carrasco was quicker. It was impressive watching him skirting the front wheel about 3" off the ground up the length of the start/finish whilst going up through the gears though

I think it is that rather natty two-piece of Simon ( Aky)'s that makes him look so astonishingly surprising when he flies around at the pace he does , making it look so very easy . He looks like he's kind of not interested , or in the wrong place .....then batters it senseless .
