Nice one who is that with ?
Cardoso School http://www.cardososchool.com/Not got any feedback really other than a guy I know is going and say's they're ok... But as a first day I don't have any expectations (other than excitement )
Is there a trackday sticky/thread with 'what to take' info?
So far my list is small
Bike: Tape up lights and disc fuses. Take off mirrors and plate.
Fuel: 15 liters and full tank.
Leathers, helmet etc.
Some basic tools in case anything gets loose (which is about all the spannering I can handle).
Anything super important I'm missing. I haven't really got spares of anything bike related so nothing I can do there.

Things I've forgotten in the past..
Tyre pressures gauge, earplugs, key, visor cleaner. You can nearly alwaus borrow stuff, I've lent people stuff on nearly every day I've done.
Taping lights isn't mandatory but no harm in doing so. I'd disconnect your brake lights as well, less off putting for people following you. Tape over your speedo, not mandatory but I always do as looking at it distracts me.

Thanks! Earplugs and visor cleaner already two things I'll need and had forgotten to think about. Tyre pressures gauge, earplugs, key, visor cleaner. You can nearly alwaus borrow stuff, I've lent people stuff on nearly every day I've done.

I was told that you had to tape lights so if you crashed you reduced the risk of glass on the track or something? Will do it anyways I guess and disconnect the lights (assuming it's hopefully an easy job).

Are you riding to track, or going in a van?I was told that you had to tape lights so if you crashed you reduced the risk of glass on the track or something? Will do it anyways I guess and disconnect the lights (assuming it's hopefully an easy job).
If riding take as little possible. Most people will lend you anything you need on the day, fuel is usually available at the circuit, whilst expensive it is easier than lugging spare fuel on a bike.
Just remember to drop your tyre pressures before you go out on track and to pump them up before you set off home.

Have to admit you have balls going to jerez for your first one. Hope you have a cracking time.

Paid £40 for transport there and back with a guy I know. So I'll be driving there in my car, hence space for anything really. I'll probably look to borrow/ask since I'm an idiot with a spanner if anything goes wrong anyways. If riding take as little possible. Glass lights on a bike? I thought they were all plastic.

True... they're plastic. Not sure why I'm being told I have to tape them then? I'd imagine bits of a bike itself would suck on a track if I crashed anyways? I'll just tape up anyways since I was told to by someone who's been with this company before.Have to admit you have balls going to jerez for your first one. Hope you have a cracking time.
And what's crazy about Jerez? It's my nearest track and easiest to get to. I'm so excited now haha

If you're at Jerez don't worry if it's the No Limits dates in March. There's loads of us there And what's crazy about Jerez? It's my nearest track and easiest to get to. I'm so excited now haha

This is in February, but if I enjoy it I'll see if I can book the No Limits one also! Edit: Nvm just looked at No Limits site and it's booked up anyways. If I enjoy this day in Feb then I'll give No Limits a call and see if anyone drops out last minute they'd give me a place. They might not as I can see it's all UK people going over and I guess they make a lot of money on the transport etc which I wouldn't want to take up. They might not want to just let me do the day and make my own way there.

That is a good idea! I also bought a back protector today, wanted an insert for my Alpinestars suit but they didn't have any so said screw it and bought the race one. Bit overkill but rather have one than nothing. Semi-serious question. Where's the best place to mount a gopro, and do they need to be secured, if so how?
I know I'll be terrible, and of course very slow. Just thought as I already own the gopro hero3 from my snowboarding holidays it might be nice to have a look at/have a record of my first track day (assuming I don't hate it and become a road rider only )

Depends what you want really. If you just want to be able to see your lines etc work out where you can improve on the screen works but there's nothing else in the picture to make it feel fast or whatever. I've put a few more mounts for my next track day just to get some different views. I've got one on the swingarm, one on the frame so you can see the throttle/brakes as well as forward then on one the top yoke so you can see the clocks as well.I know I'll be terrible, and of course very slow.
