Si, what's up with your bike? Is this the track RR, or the HP4?
SI? the photo guy?

Simon, Loon, the guy you met at Oulton...?
I was trying to be funny, obviously a Mirranda moment from myself.

We probably get to the hotel about the same time, we fly into Seville and it's about an hour or so drive.

I'm part of the bigger group (Dibble Corse) about 23 of us I think mostly Ducati's I'll be on my Panigale number 199.

It's the track S1000RR

The suspension needs a refresh, especially the front which is bottoming out very easily and squishing the tyre so much that the bike won't stop and turn.

I gave it to someone who is highly recommended by quite a few people over two weeks ago and he didn't touch it until 7:30pm on the Friday before Saturday's Trackday. He then promptly sheared a pinch bolt.

Not happy.

Just booking 19th June at Anglesey now. It's miles away and I'll book a few more in between but got a couple of mates doing their first track day so I said I'd tag along/take them

34/34 off the warmers if wet.
31/31 off the warmers if iffy.

Most people other than racers would be advised not to use warmers on wets, as they are unlikely to ride hard enough to keep the heat in them, i.e. be able to come in and see steam coming off the tyres.

If you do use warmers, make sure the temps are adjustable down to c. 50 degrees.

One of the key things with wets is to ensure the pressures are high enough to keep the tread blocks/sipes open, and also to make sure that the edges of the tread blocks/sipes are still sharp enough to cut through the water.

pressures can vary depending upon what you're running, e.g. per manufacturers:
Pirelli rain: F 35 R 29
Dunlop: F 33 R 33

Backing off your compression damping and preload a little bit will also help find grip.

Pressure is normally quoted in 3 ways:

cold tyres (please don't ask what this means)
off the warmers (i.e. when tyre warmers have been removed)
hot (when you come in from a session)

I don't suppose anyone wants to buy a place for Cadwell park for next Tuesday (31st). Can no longer attend and NoLimits knock £20 off for a refund, whereas a name change is free. £85 for the day.
