Not so bothered about the cold, it's only like it was last year and I wasn't bothered then. It's going to be dry and sunny so I'm happy enough.

I've got in at 6.40 before, there's normally a queue at that time too!
Looks like the weather will be with you, watch druids though!

Yeah I couldn't remember how early I need to be but it seems that it's half 6 if I want a garage which sounds about right. Loon would know but can't ask him.

Turns out me and your brother are on pb forum curlie.

I was telling a bloke at work this morning you were at Oulton today. We both agreed it was dam cold but at least it was dry and sunny...............20 min later it started snowing.

How did you get on ?

First session was scary. After that it was spot on. Not a particularly fast day but a good start to the year. I'll get the videos up later.

Being fitter and a stone lighter helped loads. Interestingly although a decent pace I never got my knee down so I have a feeling my body position is heading the right way.

Hope it warms up a bit next month as I'm at Oulton park on 15th March and Donnington on the 24th
It was bloody wet at Oulton last Saturday, but at least it was reasonable warm

I'm not going on track until May, as well as being an old I am far too soft to withstand cold weather, which is handy being from the far North of England.

Honestly it's been plenty warm enough since about 11am. Yeah it would have been a bit nicer if it was warmer but no trouble at all.

When I was younger, your age Tom I would have been out at this time of year. Its just too cold for me now.

I wouldn't have any fun and I'd be more miserable than I usually am.

Was there Saturday as a mate was testing his new (to him) bike prior to Jerez. Despite it being mostly dryish in the morning and running warmers he crashed it as soon as he tried to get some speed on. Normally I'm desperate to get out but wasn't even the palest shade of green watching people wobble around.

A fair few were running full wets and they weren't cutting up at all and seemed more suitable to 5'c than a dry tyre. It then pissed down and most went home incl us.

Joy! I'm on Michelin Pilot Power 2CT's which I'm hoping should be okay in the cold. Never been to Rockingham so won't be going too fast.

Video is a bit crap, there is too much vibration from the top yoke I think and the sun is too low but you get the idea.
