Anyone heading to Brands on Wed 18th June? Or Combe on Fri 1st July?

Never done Brands Hatch before, any quick pointers?
Yeh make sure the right side rear has alot of tread...it wont have any after a day there!
And that you warm your bike before each session as combe only allows 10minute sessions, so you don't want to be pottering around for the first couple of laps to get heat into your oil smile

Yeah it's those same tossers who spend from 7am till 9am revving their engines like a two stroke.

the only time you warm it up is when you need to scrape through noise testing.

Just checked the pictures from cadwell tuesday. Without being rude...peter wileman is st! Im all for paying someone to do a good job but the 2 times ive done days with him as a photographer theyve been shocking. Who wants a picture of them on the dampest bit of the track bolt upright.

He is awful. He thinks that a bike in a picture is what people want. It doesn't matter what's happening just as long as you are in it.

At least with Alex James even his bad ones are better because he does stuff to the pictures.

Really ? Well , I'll continue to warm mine up by running at tickover allowing engine to get up to running temp. ,fans kick in , switch off , let heat radiate throughout whole running gear and then switch back on to go out prior to putting lid on , warmers off and bike off stands, gloves on and away as giving it full throttle pretty well immediately and for as much as possible for the next twenty minutes isn't something I'm prepared to do to a cold engine block - but that's just me being fussy I guess ...
Never had a problem with Pete Wileman's pictures either while I think about it ..

I've always let mine tick over until the fans kick in, just first thing though.

Many years ago at Croft someone started revving the tits off his bike in the garage at 8am, much merriment ensued when I got up walked over to him and turned his bike off and threw the key to the other side of the garage.

I'm really grumpy in the mornings.

On sighting laps, even if you short shift into 6th gear, you can still be doing 7K rpm. So no, I still warm the bike up as per graham and John by letting it Tickover until it hits 95 degrees a couple of times

I'll let the bike warm up for 10 minutes at tickover and let heat soak do the rest.

On the 2T I would get it up to full operating temperature without fail. When I did trackdays in the early months, I would also tape over half the radiator

I think he is lazy. Produces exactly the same results as he did 10 years ago. Your bike, leathers and helmet might change but the place where he takes the shot never alters.

Alex James as least tries to be creative

I quite fancy it Grahame, I still need to get my bike sorted, having a right mare with the exhaust at the minute.

I'm nearly 2 months behind where I should be with it and I just can't be arsed to rush with it so I'll see what pans out.

Cheers for asking though Grahame.
