The warm up comment was obviously tongue in in cheek but it does make me laugh when the guy with usually the loudest Desmo fires it up at 7am.

Peter Wildman is definitely lazy. He's taken one of your pictures lying down on his side bn

I thought that was just how much grip BN's bike has!

That big yellow thing in the sky is finally starting to warm things up, so it's looking good for Donnington on Thursday for once smile
Hopefully, I've not just jinxed it, so I'll pack wets in the van just in case

Me on an utterly frozen Knockhill a few weeks ago. I'm actually embarrased posting these they are fking that st but I pre booked them. Money well spent on him, I got 20 Laps in the morning and the afternoon cancelled for snow.

Had a cracking day in the Sunshine at Donnington today. First track day in decent weather for me having only started them this year, and knocked my best lap down to 1:57
In fact, first ever day of riding motorbikes in the warm sunshine, which was a treat after riding all winter having passed my test back in late Oct
Bring on the summer smile

I would post my pictures of the same day but
1) I never paid for any.
b) I was using the MTB chuggabug, have the same leathers (though in 2 piece style) and similar helmet so it would just be confusing anyway.
iii) In the sample photos he took of me I look fat as fk.
d) I was almost vertical going round the corners. Which a good photo it does not make.

1:57 ... got any footage? That is impressive for a new rider assuming GP circuit. Anything under 2 minutes is inters - fast group pace! smile

After 10 years not riding, and buying a bike in Jan, I'd like to book a trackday this year as the rate at which my 600RR wants to change direction far outweighs anything I'm used to and can remember.

I'm choosing Brands Hatch, as that was the last track I went round (albeit in GP form) and will be a good place to pick up. Are there better companies than others to go with? I think my last day was with a company called Apex - who don't look as if they are around anymore.

Am I still ok with 2pc leather that zip together 3/4 of the way around?

Just gave the track bike a fresh lick of paint, some stickers and a few brake mods ready for Cadwell tomorrow

Chances are I'll bin it so might as well enjoy the nice looking picture while I can haha!

Cheers. I didn't get any footage as my go-pro died session 2. Timing is from a starlane GPS, so pretty accurate I hope
I went in inters and would guess I was somewhere around mid pack pace (there's a race there this weekend, so the pace was pretty quick on the day). I'm still a pussy on the throttle though. I have a 1/6 quick action throttle on my track bike, but a couple of broken right wrists has put an end to much wrist flexibility, so I've got a new QA throttle with a bigger cam, which should mean I can get full throttle without having to have another grip of it
I'm back there next week, so I'll get some go-pro footage up
It was full circuit, but it was my 9th track day this year (3rd at Donnington), but I have done 20+ track days there in the past in cars, so know the lines pretty well

Thanks and I checked it after reading this and gave it half a turn on the adjusters to get a bit tighter

I'm another one for Alex on the photo's, I was at Cadwell yesterday for the first time and within a day he's already getting pictures up!
