Hahaha not real - I was higher than that but the pics not loaded yet

You see me do it every lap, one about mid way through I get a hard landing. Nice slide at 12.00 too that had be calm down on my Conti Endurance rear!

A peter wileman photo from Donnington last Thursday

I'm back there again on Thursday if anyone else is booked in ?
Was this the day where the Inters group was quite quick as there was a race meeting? I'm a bit confused because the riders behind you are riding with locked arms and Daffy Duck feet, which is not the sign of either a group of racers, or quick riders.

First observation from my instructor on my direct access course after the CBT was "right now that's out the way let's fix those feet" biggrin

It's fking awesome that's what it is. I've never done Cadwell on a bike, why do you take such a tight line into the chicane before the mountain???

Had a cracking day in the Sunshine at Donnington today. First track day in decent weather for me having only started them this year, and knocked my best lap down to 1:57
In fact, first ever day of riding motorbikes in the warm sunshine, which was a treat after riding all winter having passed my test back in late Oct
Bring on the summer smile
1:57 ... got any footage? That is impressive for a new rider assuming GP circuit. Anything under 2 minutes is inters - fast group pace! smile
Was back there today, and got some footage
It was super busy in the groups as there's a race there this weekend (4 groups today - Novice, inters, fast 1 and fast 2, and a mixture of racers in each group since the fast groups booked up quickly)
Got my fastest lap down to 1:53 with traffic, so hoping to dip under 1:50 next visit.
I watch back the footage, and it seems I'm still a pussy on the throttle and brakes and I could certainly do with moving around a bit more.

Skip to around 7mins if you want to avoid queueing and warm up laps

Not sure really, just hugged the left corner before then hit mid to right. It just flowed nice for me - probably completely wrong haha but Ive only done 5 track days so every time I go out I try copy quicker people and see what Im doing wrong

The pistons in the calliper were stuck all the way out on one side.
Caused the brakes to heat up so much ran out of lever.

New callipers have just been fitted - back at Rockingham next week for a shakedown.

It's not the best track surface but nice garages and a flowing track

So, mates still not responding to texts & emails about feckin' anyone or anything, NW200 on telly, far too much to drink, moved the semi-dismantled heap of an R1 to the centre of the garage earlier today just to concentrate the mind.

Just booked 20th August No Limits Snetterton for the BB mid-Summer shin dig. Seemed logical.

See you there chaps!
