1st trackday of the year booked!

Pembrey on the 11th of June, just after my bday and a racer friend is going so hopefully he can show me around a bit.

Anyone else heading up?

I'll keep an eye out and get watching some vids. I'm not good enough to be hitting every apex (or indeed any) so I shouldn't have too much trouble hehe

I think the corners called the old hairpin.
Pembrey had cones laid out for turn in and apex, that helped me a lot.

I am thanks, got out on Saturday after a week spent in hospital. Now got 6 weeks with my foot like this and my hand in plaster frown

Just in the process of getting an engine rebuild for the bike too. Need another new helmet and new leathers/boots/gloves too.

Booked to go to Portimau at the start of September to get back into it. Hopefully squeeze in a couple of UK days before then too.

Crikey , sorry to hear it worked out that badly - you and bike (much lesser importance), but you seem plucky with it ! Best of luck mending and hope to see you back out there this year - Good luck.

Cheers. Hopefully shouldn't be too long til I'm back on the bike. Don't think it was my fault so my confidence hasn't taken much of a knock like my last big off did. I'll probably be at a couple of Oulton days as a spectator anyway smile

Good to meet you tonight. If it was your mate in the kitty litter I hope his bike was not as bad as my mates

And yes, this used to be 3DP pride and joy eek Low sided at the bottom of paddock

frown It's a double edged sword knowing the people you sell your bikes too, as you get to see the bike again, but also see some of the bad things that happen to them frown

At least Mick is ok.

Yeh good to meet you too, cheers for coming over! The Ducati really did look sorry for itself afterwards, at least your mate is ok!

Unfortunately it was my mate in the litter at Druids, he isn't sure what quite happened but sounded like he lost it while braking and lowsided, the bike is in a pretty similar state to the Ducati to be honest apart from the lack of exhaust now too! He was fine apart from some soft tissue damage to his shoulder and a bruised ego smile

There's a dip right at the bottom of the hill which can really unsettle the bike. I've had a few near one's in the exact spot

Glad he was OK too! Let me know if your mate wants to cut his losses and sell his bike as it is. I could do with some spares so I'd be interested in making him an offer
