Stripped the indicators/mirrors and tail unit with number plate/indicators from my 899 and fitted some new super corsa's ready for the upcoming Ducati track days at Donnington and Silverstone in the next few weeks
Can't for the life of me work out how to disconnect the brake light though

Anyone else at Donnington on Tursday or Silverstone on 16/6?

My friend and I have booked for Monday 6th, Snetterton 300 evening session. He'll be on a blue ZX6R track bike, and I'll be on my 2002 R1. Hi to anyone else that'll be there.

Glad he was OK too! Let me know if your mate wants to cut his losses and sell his bike as it is. I could do with some spares so I'd be interested in making him an offer
I'll pass that on, think he's pretty attached to it but will let you know if he goes for it

I did the Donnington Ducati day yesterday
I was sure my 899 would make a good track bike, but I just didn't like it
After the first session, where it was squatting under load and diving under brakes, I had the suspension set up by the Ohlins guys. It improved it, but it still wasn't great and felt quite vague in the corners
Oh well, I have the Silverstone Ducati day booked on June 16th, and then I'll sell it on
Anyone fancy a 2014 899 ?

Really surprised to read that as I want a 899 or F3 800 as my track bike next year. Currently on a trusted on GSXR750 which is actually pretty damn good

It's a cracking road bike, but I just couldn't click with it on the track
It might be that the wheels weigh more than a car, but it just turns in so slowly and I found the back end to be really vague under power
I spoke with a couple of other guys about it as it was a Ducati day, and the general consensus was that if you want a Panigale track bike, you want either an 1199 or 1299

I'll take that as a compliment
I meant that I prefer my older and cheaper ZX6R for the track
It's always so rewarding talking with you lot smile

I wounder how much of that is down to fear of binning your road bike. You must back off and possibly even be a little tense whilst out on track.

I know I would be. I know I ride an utter shed so maybe that's not the case for all.
