Haha yeah, it does sound silly. But to be fair I've only ever done 2 trackdays on this bike (9 in total, on any bike) and a race weekend. Cars have always been my thing, but since starting bike days, the cars not been out on track much at all.

It occured to me that the only thing I've ever won was the class of 2006 award for "most likely to do nothing with life" hmm..

At 26 I feel I should probably win something proper at least once before I die. Hopefully a motorcycle race will be that thing! biggrin

I had a few friends there same day. A 1.52 will be a nice inters pace. My mate runs fast group and was doing 1.44/1.45 all day but I think if you went again you'd naturally find a bit more pace so maybe try fast group

I've only done 5 track days and bought a donkey bike to do it with. First one was at Snett and went inters but felt similar to you so went fast. There is a noticeable difference going fast and I have stayed in that group since but it makes you follow a faster pace instantly which certainly kept me on the ball when I'd never done any track other than Snett! Cadwell first session I took off about a foot in the air on that mountain jump thingy and many brown marks followed my pants after!

Im also 10 years on you and should know better haha

Couple of mates also coming to Snetterton on 20th. HP4 and track SV650's

A mate won't bring the 1299s as he fears it will fail noise test

Ive done Snett 3 times now (4th including a wet day there)

I average about 2.07 can get a little under around 2.06 if I push it but hard to be consistent on the old 750

Just speaking with a few of my lot going up there now and deciding whether to go up tonight and get a garage spot or leave at 5am and chance it...

(Yes in fast group)

I thought the 1299 was an instant pass on static as they always blow over the 102 it was the drive by that was the one that worried a few? Think these go through. I see loads on track tbh

I work Saturdays so unless I book it off think I'll just do the 21st

Staying at a hotel about 15 mins away tonight and am already on it. So I'm getting my excuses in early

I'll be on a Zx10, painted in SMT colours, no. 3, ex Filip Backlund

I'm too old for that shyte. I've spent too many years waking up with my face pressed up against a brake disc

Sorry I couldn't be there to interpret for the southerners and the northerners. Ironic really that England needs a Scotsman to link the nation wink

Yeh for me really good although as you said heat was pushing too much at times! A good friend of mine who gives me a push round had bad one right in front of me on the last but one session. Fractured his pelvis but he's a tough old Scotsman so will be back soon enough

I ran consistent 2.06's but think thats about all Im good for on my bike as its badly needing a decent setup and to be fair its an old donkey

Got some tyre issues so whether I want to or not I need to spend some money on getting the forks setup properly before cadwell on the 10th and need to change this front tyre! 2 track days and its dead

Right looking at it from behind

Had a good laugh though shame I didnt see you, we were in Garage 25 all chilling to some beers until about midnight

One of the buggers stuck a sticker on the bottom of my fairing which I didnt notice until the end of the day...

And they all take the piss at my MX style! If there is one thing I need to learn its body position but it just feels unnatural to hang right off, still something for the future

Was it your mate who came off at the end of Corams where you turn left on the start finish straight?
