I await a flaming for piss poor body position, crossed body, st braking, lurching throttle and generally being a poof.

However, I've actually taken a lot from the video and watching it I'm going, wtf are you doing there, I cant do this whilst on track as I'm too busy being st. So can someone recommend a camera that doesn't crash and corrupt every bding video near enough. 1 video over the course of a day that I can actually play is a joke.
Did you enjoy it though?

If so then that's what matters!

Yes and no.

First day was hell, woke up at 12 and could get to sleep so headed down, got there at 5:30 fking shattered.

First couple of sessions out the bike was sounding heavy and rough with reduced power. The cam cover had came loose, literally the bolt was just hanging off. Sorted that after much flapping to discover my fan isn't kicking in, its fine when out but temp rises in garage when sitting with power off.

Went out after lunch and coming out the first corner to cascades with the throttle open I instantly lost power and I nutted the screen. Pulled the clutch in thinking fk, the engine is blown, get the fk off the track.

I looked at the contents in my fairing, just how black it was and thought fk that's me going home. Got it back to the pits stripped it down and found the fuel line had came off. I guess it was so dark because it collected the dust and grim/oil on the engine that you cant see or get to. I then had to change tyres as they were covered in fuel.

I got it fixed then went out in the novice section to test it as it was the last of the day. That was great, I felt fast as fk just tip toeing around biggrin was like going to the shops.

When we went to the pub at night I came back to discover my fuel soaked tyres were now stolen, so I guess someone thought, oh i'll have them, they are welcome to them.

Slept in the pits again but it was fine I was fked so slept well.

Second day was much better, I was still stting it thinking, i'm a st mechanic I hope this line doesn't burst off again, but made it through the day and really enjoyed it. It was usual oulton park stuff. First day is hell, after breaking down, getting soaked or crashing I think fk this I want to go home, second day I love it. Great circuit.

Do the onsite tyre fitters normally mind fitting owner supplied tyres? If not how much do they charge?

£12.50 loose per wheel £25 on the bike.

I made the mistake the first time I went, I asked how much on the bike for a pair of tyres. I was quoted £25, went to pay, that will be £50. WTF, you said £25. Yeah that's per wheel, wtf do you think a pair is? Now I paid it obviously, but I'll never make that mistake again.

Never had a problem and always taken my own tyres

Between 10-20 pounds on a loose wheel.

OK, £25 isn't too bad for a captive market.

Evening trackdays can be a little hit or miss on value. Tonight was awesome - 4 full 20 min sessions and great conditions. I kept my perfect record of being black flagged at every trackday I do although this time it was for pinging the noise meter. Baffle in, play continued.

I was at Silverstone last week, and didn't have time to faff around with taking wheels off as had to go to the briefing, so took it to the tyre guy as a bike. Took him 20mins from me turning up on the bike to riding off for two tyre changes and charged me £40.
It's a lot of money for 20mins work, but well worth the time saving and me stripping axle threads like normal smile

Was that on the bike or wheels removed ?

You can buy the stuff you need off ebay for about the same cost. I only know because a bloke at work was telling me the other week.

On bike.

I'm not sure I fancy doing it myself. It's not just the potential damage to almost new wheels, it looks quite a hassle.

Great weekend of laps at the 'Ring, surprisingly quiet on most of my laps.
Fun lap but plenty of time to find still.

It's difficult to tell from a photo, but that looks too far gone to clean up
