That'll be it then. Worked fine for me at Brands but guess cooler ambient temps then
Would still be too much pressure really. Cold tear isn't anything to do with ambient temperature - it's to do with the tyre being over inflated, causing the surface of the tyre to overheat but the carcass to stay too coldmoanthebairns said:
That's a cracking pic AlI went back up to Oulton today, but some chap went down really hard on the sighting laps in fast, and they had to land the air ambulance on Lodge Corner
He didn't look too good when I passed, so hope he's ok
I wasn't feeling it after seeing that, and needed to get back for something at work that came up, so headed home after lunch after only 1 session once the track had reopened

I love riding in the rain, right up until the point when your sliding on your arse going, eh, wtf just happened, where's my bike going, crap how much is this going to cost me....
For your first few laps you will have tension in your ahole, you'll find your new braking points and such and get in a groove.
Deep breaths, stay relaxed, look where you want to go and be smooth. Its going to be mild so should be fun.

Cheers mate. Hopefully none of that arse sliding stuff. This is last day of the year for me (I've run out of money / saving for holiday etc etc) so would be great to keep her shiny side up. I'm sure I'll be reyt. Keep it nice and smooth. For your first few laps you will have tension in your ahole, you'll find your new braking points and such and get in a groove.

Delayed post, but had a great time at brands last thursday, shared a garage with kingb and some randoms.
After having been there on the 848 (twice) I wasn't expecting much - I'd had much more fun at snett, despite the tribulations. This time on a 5EB R6 of '99 vintage.
Bloody hell, what a difference. Started out feeling a lot quicker than I had been on the 848, I could turn, and dared to open the throttle other than bolt upright. Whole thing just seemed a lot more approachable. Continued getting faster all day, by the penultimate session was dragging my knee regularly (childish, but something I'd been struggling to do), and lapping the bulk of the group a couple of times. So, love brands, love the R6! Looks like I might have to go to inters next time
Next question: Tyre warmers.. should I? Controllable temps, or just fixed 80deg (cheaper). Currently running very road (pilot road) tyres, but tempted to put something a bit more sporting on.

Looking very likely to be my first wet track day tomorrow (in fact since passing my test I've probably completed less than 100 wet miles). Not sure what to expect. But I hope I enjoy it as much as MTB and some others on here.
I'm still crossing my fingers for a change in forecast...
i'm working about 5 miles from knockhill and the rain is bouncing here, I got drowned walking 10 yards for a fag. Good luck. I'm still crossing my fingers for a change in forecast...
