I don't think it helped that I was moaning about being beaten to the top spot by 0.145

Have any of you guys tried Bridgestone V02 Slicks ?
I keep seeing good reviews, and at £400 for a set of two rears and a front (200 & 120 sizes), they're loads cheaper than Super Corsa's or Superbike slicks

They were using them at Silverstone on the R1-M day, people were saying they were good but that's obviously not first hand experience.

If they're as good as the R10's then they'll be a great tyre,

Anyway, it was slightly less than 2 tenths.

I'm still waiting for the Mugello report. I thought the people of PHBB needed to know.

I kept meaning to type something up but I forgot to take any photos. Doh

My bike breaking down on the last day WAS due to the HM Quickshifter failing. Well, technically the reg/rec had failed and was pumping out too high voltage, 16.7 instead of 14.2, and that fried the Quickshifter.

I've just bought that same deal last week. Trying them at Spain in a few weeks but like you heard they wear well and grip really well

Not sure if anyone else made Cadwell Sunday but hoping the guy that crashed on the last but one session in fast is ok

I dead opposite doing the chicane and see asee an almighty cloud of smoke. Guy had to be air lifted off track - was thrown a good 100 foot from his bike

Although air ambulances look scary when arriving at Cadwell, they are normally used in preference to a 4 wheeled ambulance as they can get there quicker. It's not because the rider has suffered a trauma injury (but they'll also be in the best place if they have).

PS I hope the rider wasn't thrown 100 feet high smile
PPS hope he/she is OK

I should have got a photo of the wet day. I was fastest in the wet sessions. Woohoooo (although I think that's coz most people didn't ride, as opposed to me being quick in the wet)

I did see your wet timing sheet and TBH I thought I had a pic of that one too but afraid not. Very impressive times indeed.

They most certainly are Andy - this highlights that the boys and girls riding in the Fast Group at Cartagena with Neil had better get out of the gate promptly come day 2 no doubt ,once he has learned his way round, to avoid that gut-wrenching feeling of being lapped in a 20 min. session !
( Not that it matters ,of course).

Come on John - let's have your report !

The whole weekend nearly ended very quickly due to the wet weather. I had a brand new wet rear , didn't bother putting the warmer on as I was pushed for time after setting up in a hurry, and had an off throttle slide on turn 2, very nearly turned into a high side but I corrected steering and landed back in the seat (more by luck than skill). All seemed to happen in slow motion. I was very tentative in the wet after that, so I was surprised i was at the top of the wet times
