Almeria and Andalucía are two tracks in the same location, right ?
Are they both very different ?

Yes, Andalucia is brilliant. Some quite tight and twisty bits and lots of elevation changes

There's an Andalucia track? Andalucia is the name of the entire region here in Spain, so Almeria is in Andalucia.

Edit: Wow it's next to each other, nice! Not sure why I've not heard of any of my friends going there.

You're the first person I've heard say they like the new track. Everyone I've spoken to prefers the old one

I thought Almeria was st last time I went, although I was having lots of bike problems at the time and also lost 2 days of track time due to high winds. I'm going back next month but only because it was the only time I could get off work for a European day, hopefully will be better on a 1000 since ⅓ of the circuit is the back straight.

Ive always had a better experience on FE days abroad than NL

Well Ive just bought Ride 2 and nicked the PS4 off my son for a bit so gives me a chance to learn Almeria atleast!

I think Im going with focused events. Ive heard so many mixed reviews with them but on the 1 track day I did at Silverstone with them they seemed ok

Is the game any good, ive a ps4 and 3 sat there gathering dust, I bought a few games but I never play the things. I thought about this.

Im the same, just hit mid 30's and outgrown them but my boy is on the PS4 a fair bit

As for the game, its a big improvement on Ride 1, it loads much faster and the bike sounds are more realistic. I've played it enough to say much more

As Mckeann says everyone I've spoken to prefers the 'old' circuit and that you should only do the new one when bored with the old one.

I've not done either (possibly due FE-phobia) but it cannot just be me that thinks they should just link the two up for an AlmeriaRing type thing?

I'm not sure that's possible, as one looks like it's in the desert and the other built on snow wink

..... I hit a bump this in turn caught my testical a peach, sending it straight up inside me, honestly John virgo couldn't have made that pocket.

Naturally I'm a bit flustered going deep in on the brakes up the inside of this guy Feeling like I want to vomit. Somehow I made the corner. But I couldn't come in as he was on my left. I'm now going into duffus thinking fk what do I do. Who do I phone for this, a doctor, the fire brigade, paul daniels.

As I went right and left down hill I thought it was going to come out my mouth like that bit in airplane with the eggs and the womans mouth. Thankfully sometime later I felt it slide down my inner thigh otherwise id be getting called alexis. Still now I know my rebound is a bit to quick. .....
Top lad.

May or may not be looking at leathers.. do track days allow A2 licences on? Looking at getting to some days next year when I get everything sorted in the coming weeks. Look forward to finally meeting a few more of you smile

(Plus if we do any days at Silverstone my BB famous Mum will happily cook/bake for us as she is 2 minutes away biggrin )

Yeah, can't see why they wouldn't let you on. A few tracks have a 250cc + rule though, and I've occasionally seen 'full bike licence' mentioned. I'm sure you'll be fine.

You'll have no problem with a restricted licence. I went on track twice whilst restricted.

You'll finally get to come and play with bigger boys!

Also look at leathers on gumtree, local to me I found a set of old Spyke things for a tenner!! I was tempted but I don't need more bike kit I need less!

Good stuff! Look forward to it, engine size won't be an issue as I'm going for a 400 minimum smile

Good tip on the leathers. I'll have a look around but I think I'll be buying brand new as I'm a bit weird when it comes to buying stuff like that, you never know where it's been or how much of a sweaty bugger the previous wearer was hehe

Slowly getting my gear together, I have my Guy Martin AGV on order (With matching pink one for the OH..), my Alpinestar SPXs are still in very very good condition considering they were my first ever gloves and I crashed in them and I still have my old Buffalo textile jacket. All I need to get still is my leathers, some kevlar jeans and some better boots than TCX X-Streets. Counting the days down till I'm back on two wheels!

Not all tracks/track day organisers are the same
Msv owned tracks will want you to have a full license regardless of which organiser is running the day
Silverstone's own days have license restrictions too based on group and what bike you're riding (i.e. I think they'll only let you ride a bike you're licensed to ride on the road, and I believe anything less than a full license will mean you need to go in novice)
No limits don't check licenses at all, so you could theoretically turn up on a H2R having never ridden a bike and book into fast group
It's worth checking before you turn up
