Re leathers. Different brands all tend to fit slightly differently, so worth trying to get along to either a shop that holds a few different types, or go along to Motorcycle live next month as the trade stands will have every imaginable brand there, and you might save a few quid.
Like your helmet, leathers are important, so buy the best ones you can afford. It's no use wishing you'd spent another couple hundred quid on decent ones when you're sliding on your face down the tarmac at 100mph

Not all tracks/track day organisers are the same
Msv owned tracks will want you to have a full license regardless of which organiser is running the day
Silverstone's own days have license restrictions too based on group and what bike you're riding (i.e. I think they'll only let you ride a bike you're licensed to ride on the road, and I believe anything less than a full license will mean you need to go in novice)
No limits don't check licenses at all, so you could theoretically turn up on a H2R having never ridden a bike and book into fast group
It's worth checking before you turn up
Was going to mention here in Spain I've never been asked for my licence. And one of the garages has been taking his son on an R6 for years (and I think he's still under 20 now). I guess it makes sense asking for licence etc, but just never thought about it. Msv owned tracks will want you to have a full license regardless of which organiser is running the day

Just see Brand and Cadwell for £69 November and December open pit lane with MSV
Obviously I'd book as late as poss given the weather but if it looked dry (all be cold) in the last few days upto it would anyone else fancy?
I will have sold my track bike by then and working on my newer one for next year so would probably do it on the road bike

I've done quite a few days with NL this year, and I can only remember being asked for my license at the MSV tracks by an MSV person at registration rather than an NL registration person. They certainly haven't asked for it at Silverstone or Donnington, which are the two I did most regularly with them

Bring your confirmation with you to show when you sign on. You can also use a smart phone, showing your confirmation email.
You will need to complete a No Limits Indemnity form for each track event, and at Motor Sport Vision (MSV) circuits (Cadwell Park, Brands Hatch, Snetterton, Bedford & Oulton Park) you must also complete a Motor Sport Vision Indemnity form as well. These forms are available to download from this site in PDF form and are also available on the day of the track event. Your full unrestricted driving licence or full ACU licence will also be checked at the Motor Sport Vision circuits. These tracks also require you to be over 18 (unless previously approved by MSV). Please note, this is a MSV requirement so if you do not present your licence on the day, you can not be allowed to ride, (in exceptional circumstances the circuit can confirm it within office hours at DVLA on your behalf to confirm your entitlements. This will attract a admin fee which is payable to MSV but we recommend not to rely on this method) see our Terms & Conditions for details.

Did my last few bits of tinkering and re-lockwiring, and my bike's now ready to head off to Cartagena this weekend
First euro trackday for me, so getting quite excited now
It's a long way to Spain with the bike on its side. Hope it's not too bashed up when you get there and get to enjoy the tripFirst euro trackday for me, so getting quite excited now
