Yep it wasn't pretty seeing the aftermath of that. The guy he passed was my mate (spidi leathers) who was very fast but cracked his engine case so having to ride the loan zx6r from the event The guy in front he clipped was a great guy I chatted and rode with at almeria too. Short stocky guy who seriously got that R6 leant over at times

Just watched the video. Great riding and nearly sub 2.00 in the wet! Shows how good wets are if you trust them and some great riding there too

First time on wets since getting my ZX10R from my 600, and I was little worried the bike would overpower the tyres, but as long as I took a steady couple of laps to get some resemblance of warmth into them, I could get the power down
I did nip just under the 2min mark (by only .4 of a second) in the afternoon once I'd got my confidence up, but after locking my front wheel up going into turn one and having to have a quick word with myself, the day came to an early end as the track was literally covered in standing water and small rivers, and there were a few spots on the back straight where I was spinning the rear up in 5th where it was aquaplaning, so probably a sensible option for the track guys to call it a day
I'm hoping to get back out there in Feb-ish to try the place out in the dry, as it's a cracking track and I think that long left hander would be amazing in the sunshine with some real grip

It is a great corner, last time I was there a few were getting their elbows down.Nice smooth and quick riding in the wet too. Birky, that lad was lucky in your video.
I might be turning into MTB, as the few days I've had in the rain on wets this year have been some of the most fun I've had on a bike to date.
I was pretty peeved when I saw the forecast, but actually, Friday was possibly the most fun I've had on a bike and a nice way to finish off my first year's riding.
I was thinking exactly that about that left, that corner has elbow down written all over it - Maybe I'll have to try and get back there early next year when it's a bit warmer and dryer, it was certainly a cracking track

Graeme - if you get over next year let me know! Im out of holiday not until 1st April but will definitely do another 4 days in Spain when the weather drops in England. Dont think I'll bother in the summer as theres plenty here I can rideI might be turning into MTB, as the few days I've had in the rain on wets this year have been some of the most fun I've had on a bike to date.

Has anyone done Imola before? I've just booked on the Imola/Mugello trip with FE in August but can't really find much out about the circuit, or find any onboard videos to try and learn the circuit.
Worst ever "I'm off to Imola and you're not" post ever. Not sure what the deal is learning short circuits - I do it in the first session over about 3 laps. Course learnt then 2nd and 3rd sessions experimenting with gears (mostly losing gear changes) and tweaking some braking points. The next 2.5 days is just dicking about with the last percentages. If it was something complicated like the Isle of Man TT course or Ze Nürburging then it might be worth doing the whole YouTube / Playstation thing.
Have fun though - 2 awesome tracks back-to-back!!

 I've managed to find a video of Nicalo Canepa going round there which I can use. I suck at learning new circuits so spend ages watching videos just so I know where I am and what's coming up when I actually get there. There's only 2 days on track at Imola so I want to maximise my time there rather than wasting a full day just learning where I'm going. Thanks I should do. It's 2 days at Imola, 4 day break then 3 at Mugello. My Xmas present to myself, can't wait

Looks like I'm heading back to Cartagena in Feb, and then will probably aim to get away again at the end of the year
Like you, I don't see much point in heading to Spain/Italy in the summer, as we have some decent weather here, and I'd just cook myself trying to ride in 35deg everyday over there

Is that the one where he grabs a handful of someone's front brake and causes a collarbone breaking crash?
No but I have seen that, pretty horrible thing to do and surprised he didn't have his race license taken away This is the one I've been watching - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qFPmDeqrK88

Wow looks like something out of a spaceship! Will definitely give you all the info you need and more when on track!Mines still looking very naked! I have two engine for it and need to get the one working properly out of the two haha. I've got nearly all the parts so once all running I have got the suspension all being sent away for a decent track overhaul...amazing how many people skip stuff like this! Ktec 10w springs, better track focused piston kit and fresh oil should have them going boing the right way!
