Wow looks like something out of a spaceship! Will definitely give you all the info you need and more when on track!

Mines still looking very naked! I have two engine for it and need to get the one working properly out of the two haha. I've got nearly all the parts so once all running I have got the suspension all being sent away for a decent track overhaul...amazing how many people skip stuff like this! Ktec 10w springs, better track focused piston kit and fresh oil should have them going boing the right way!

Your garage looks a lot more organised than mine smile
I've just been to pick up a new (2nd hand) tank, and mine now goes off for painting on Friday, so should then all be sorted for 2017 once I get the rear wheel change kit back and fitted (both sets of wheels I have are different space diameters, so they had to be sent off to be machined)
It'll be exactly how I want it then, and should mean no more spending in 2017 - Hopefully

Bit of a faff to get sorted, but fitted the new dash to my bike today
I was looking at one of those as an alternative to a HM dash but I think it would confuse the hell out of me showing so much info when riding round. Is there a simplified display option with just the gear/revs you can have instead of everything? Although so it still records laptimes so you can check when you get back in?

Ignore the revs and just concentrate on the shift lights? I have an AIM MXL in my Caterham which gives a similar amount of info (+ alarms, etc), and I tend to only drive it off the shift lights which sit in your peripheral vision.

I still like the simplified dash with minimal info on, just a very clear gear indicator and shift lights are ok but I don't need to see the other stuff, I find it distracting

Think I'm going to end up getting the HM dash but was looking into other options

On some of the higher end digital dashes, you are able to establish custom views which you can then scroll through. You could set one view up to replicate an analogue rev counter right in the middle of the screen with no other info. In the event of an alarm going off (low oil pressure, high oil temps, high water temp), you could then configure this to then override your chosen display. Most systems allow you to create multiple views, which you can scroll through and set on the fly.

Yeah, you can choose what you want to display and then scroll through the versions.
I've not played around with it much yet, but at a single touch of a button, I can have just the gear indicator and a couple of other small bits of more important info, and it'll continue to record lap times in the background on a different screen

In an effort to have something to look forward to and give me a kick up the backside to put the bike back together, I've booked onto the Open Pitlane MSV day at Snetterton on Monday 27th March. UK weather means it's anyone's guess what conditions will be like but it'll beat being sat in the office

I think I'd rather go to work than go back to Cartagena. Glutton for punishment.

Anyone doing Jerez with No Limits in April? I've just booked on (impulse!) for the 18th. Excited is an understatement. Now I need to learn everything I need to take and what insurance to get etc...

I agree that's it's a bit of love it or hate it track, but I liked it
4 of us that went all liked it too, but there was plenty of others, as well as Neil, that didn't think much to it

The only real negatives for me, is it could do with a couple more ballsy type corners and a less abrasive tarmac so it doesn't eat tyres as quickly

Any of you lot used the trackaddict app or harry LapTimer?

Would like to use it with the gopro but christ it's so hard trying to get the things talking to each other properly

I paid for the top Harry LapTimer one but think it's more iPhone setup as I can't get the gopro video to be found after in the app no matter what I try for the overlay

The problem with phone app timers is they only refresh the GPs about once per second, so they don't always pick up start finish lines or you get some odd lap times thrown in
Most of the specific gps lap timers work on 10mhz or 10 times worse one, so much more accurate
Saying that, you can get a cheap Bluetooth GPS receiver for your iPhone that's make the app as accurate as a Starlane or AIM etc

Cheers Graeme - its android but much for much as it still runs 1mhz. Main issue I had was videoing on the GoPro then getting the phone app to overlay telemetry but I cracked it today

As its an old phone I thought make good use of it as it gives lap times, sectors, g force etc etc and you can buy as you said a cheap GPS to make it more accurate. Still works out alot cheaper than the dedicated systems

Got my new fairings back from the painters this week
I'm very impressed with the quality of the paint job, and for £300 all in, it's a really good price
It was done by a Local guy called Josh Day, and other than knowing he's an exceptionally fast racer (1:31 at Donington and 1:34 at Cartagena are the ones I know of), I didn't know anything about his work, so he's really overexceeded my expectations. Good lad too, and couldn't be more helpful

I also treated myself to an L74 rear wheelchange kit, which is a properly well engineered stuff and means I now have rear wheel changes down to under a minute, which will help my bad back and tendency to trapping fingers no end smile
It was a faff to fit as the swingarm needed drilling/tapping for the brake line routing, but once on it's decent

Bike goes to Cartagena in 2wks smile
