One of the advantages of hiring a bike for me means that I'll get to try wets for the first time if it does! Have you tried calling NoLimits Alex?

Well if you believe what you read online...

'Storm Stella' apparently is making it's way over to us from the US... they have experienced snow, rain and high winds.

Whether you believe it or not ... is another thing.

I'll stick my head out of the window in the morning! biggrin

I reckon it'll have run out of snow by the time it crosses 3000 miles of Atlantic. All thatbstorm is likely to do is fuel the Jet Stream and push it further North (hopefully) which means it protects us from the really bad weather.

I'll keep mine on for another couple of weeks then

Forecast for Oulton is currently dryish, but looks like heavy rain there on Tuesday, so knowing my luck, it'll be that stty half wet/Half dry patchy track frown

I booked a hotel up there the night before now, so at least I'll have a good breakfast to taste again when the front starts washing into shell oils

So I need to buy bloody michelins for these Michelin days, its the cup £295 (fitted at my local eek) or £310 for the slick censored (can tell I use scrubs)...If it wasnt for the £30 cashback this wouldn't be worth it. laugh

Anyone had experience out of them?

Tempted to try the slicks but they only come in a 190... Which I could obviously use on a 180.

So you get a trackday for £50, but you have to spend £300 on a set of tyres you might not like, and then won't be able to buy for £300 again as they're only subsidised for those days ?

Just re-read the page, so you don't even get subsidised tyres ?
I've not tried the cups or slicks, but I have run the wets and they're really decent

I've bought two trackdays at £50, so I've saved probably £170-180 on the days tbf.

The tyres are £300 ish new from my local dealer, but if I buy them in the next few weeks I get £30 cashback. Making them £270 fitted, they'd be near that for super corsas anyway.

I looked at prices of them online and done my sums, turns out they are £50 quid more in store (ok £20 is fitting) But guess thats why you can only choose from a list of dealers and need a receipt.

I get what your saying, it is not the deal of the decade laugh I just got excited and bought a few trackdays today without actually thinking....idea I just saw oulton park for £49 and went, TAKE MY MONEY, TAKE IT NOW!!!

They have a few decent instructors mind you...

I don't think I do, but I have a good white pen if you want to write Michelin on the side of your metzelers smile

I'm not really feeling it yet. I've normally got a Euro jaunt booked by now but even that has been left behind

I was always a late starter
