Little lad on red 03 R1 and a taller lad needing a haircut on a blue 15 R1 - might be others.

Say hello if you spot us.

Should be there around 12.
Ok if weather holds I'll pop up, not looking promising at the minute though.

Cold and breezy but no rain - we went via Middleton on the way there then back up the A6 via Shap and Hartside on the way back - quite a few bikes out but didn't recognise any faces or bikes from here.

Bike due its first service now smile

I was up at the cafe at about 13:30 time, there was an RSV4 there but I didn't see anyone I recognised. It was nice and sunny for the most part, although there were some crosswinds over Alston moor. I enjoyed that road a lot more than I did the last time I was up there.

I was at db from 1150-1220 ish, then went off through Caton, Quernmore etc then over the Trough of Bowland, had a good run, tagged onto some decently ridden bikes, don't know if I can be arsed with sports bikes on the roads any more though, too uncomfortable, and I can't really see the point.

Never mind, if I'd have drunk any more tea I'd have burst, it was too cold to be hanging around for too long in vented leathers and gloves, still feeling cold now, shocking for the time of year.

Fully understand.

I was wearing a fleece over vented leathers and was bloody freezing until the other side of Alston - at least it was dry.

Get yourself a thermal base layer, they make a big difference in how warm you are. Still nice and thin don't restrict movement or anything. Well worth £10 ish it cost.

I'm based over goole way and may be interested in a rude out. Only been on my 03 plate cbr6 about 4 times mind since an 8yr biking gap so tbh I'm a terrible rider at the moment.

Missus has just announced she is going away this weekend to Bath.

Anyone heading south into the peaks or heading west to wales this weekend?

Looks to be a nice weekend on the long range forecasts.

Me hopefully. I need a garage door fitting to the new garage though, otherwise my bike remains stored in the other side of town which is a ball ache.
