I'm not messing about as it'll be the first ride in a long time so up at Devils Bridge for 10ish then on from there would be my suggestion. I can't see you sitting at the back either, Mr Champion.
fk me you are keen... 8am from Bolton then I assume!?Got a mate in tow who hasnt been riding long, so I'm going to have to keep an eye on him as he isn't used to how awesome you are...

We haven't said we're going to Hartside, although I fancy a good run. Have you ever made it to Hartside? I can't remember you ever getting beyond DB with us amd that's the crappier part of the run, although it's still good.
I know a few routes that avoids a large chunk of the Long Preston to DB run, but some of it is unavoidable. I'll have a look to see if I can find a way around it.
I've been up once before mate... But if you fancy the run up to Hartside I will follow you up... Not been up there for 2-3 yrs now! I know a few routes that avoids a large chunk of the Long Preston to DB run, but some of it is unavoidable. I'll have a look to see if I can find a way around it.

Its fine for a few hours, its no good for long days, which I want to do quite a few of in succession
Sunday is looking like a long day... I'm interested to see how I fare on the Fireblender... As 190 miles in one day is the most I've done so far ... The Hartside run is about 270 if I remember correctly! Been a while ... hebegb said:
I am gobsmacked to hear this from somebody quoting mega annual mileaqge as a badge of honour ....I am a similar shape to you , taller if anything and i have ridden your shape Blade 600+ miles in a day , from Ronda ( Spain ,not Wales) to Santander in a day , a long day albeit, but without any great drama....
Anyway , if you don't want dull, dull it won't be, a good loop to pick up Stu,could encompass Settle and Hawes,DB, then wherever you want - sort it Sat. ( but not in detail on here ideally re times etc..)
Different strokes, for different folks... I had no issues at all doing 400+ mile days on my R1's... the ergo's on the new blades just feel wrong to me. I won't be keeping this bike long term for that reason.Anyway , if you don't want dull, dull it won't be, a good loop to pick up Stu,could encompass Settle and Hawes,DB, then wherever you want - sort it Sat. ( but not in detail on here ideally re times etc..)
