No man-love on offer on my rideouts though, sorry.
I don't actually have a polite vest, white helmet, camera and beard, if that thought's putting you off.

Sorry didn't see that. Which day were you thinking of ? I'm not 100% certain which I will be free yet.

Evo Barry is from Winsford he might be up for it.

Tempted to have a run out tomorrow. Thinking about scooting across to Llanberis/betws y coed for a sandwich and then back by about 2ish - need to go cycling at 3ish.

I'll be slow tho.

Sunday is a write off, England game Saturday night, and the missus wants some shopping based attention.

The route I'm planning to take goes to Pentrefoelas which is on the way to and quite close to Betwys-y-Coed. I have to be back by 1pm though so will have to buzz back from there.

Not sure I can make it for that time I've got to wait for my Mrs to come home before I can get out.

If you PM me your number I will text you if I can make it.

Had a run out down the a556 and then up onto the A6 this morning. Christ on a bike it was cold - it was lovely on the driveway when i set off.

Very jealous of everyone scooting off to Wales on the M56/A56.

Well it was lovely in Wales, sunny, not crowded, no cameras (that I could see; I'll have to post an update if it turns out there were some redface ). Great route, and my mate turned up at Llandegla too, which was nice. My biking mojo is returning, albeit the dry, largely deserted roads, earplugs and adjusting my tyre pressures to road pressure (ahem) helped. Best bits were forgetting to overthink and just chucking it round the twisty lanes, occasionally going into a corner too hot for my comfort and getting a grip and tipping it in as it should be ridden. Nothing outside my capability, just got to get over the odd mental block with right handers. I'll stick a picture in the picture thread.

Sorry I couldn't make it seems that when the Mrs says she has to pop into work briefly actually means go to work for a 45 min then go shopping. mad

At least I eventually managed to get out, just got home 30 min ago. Had a great run down to Bala, Blaenau Ffestiniog, betsy e coed and home again.

Absolute stunning views on a lovely day. Went cold on the way home though.

Nice route, did you turn right after Bala to the next lake Llyn Celyn then right onto the b4391 (with the cattle grids) to Ffestiniog? One of my favourite roads.

Yes went down there. Never been on it before, I tried to last year but it had been re surfaced so turned around. The roads are brilliant in that area.

Met up with loon and Hebegbe yesterday for a run from Devils Bridge to Hartside.

The weather was fantastic and the crack was good, we found a great Café that does the best Bacon and egg sandwich I have ever eaten.

Some wheelies were pulled, all but 30mph limits were shattered and we all made it home with no kerfuffle.

A good little impomptu gathering at the 11th hour....literally...ps I didn't take it back John..... Gave up trying once the short sharp blast down the M-way to try to hit my deadline ran into standing ( well , weaving and wobbling lanes ) Southport was never going to happen , made the call , OKd it and came off M-way to try to intercept Loon , guessing which road he'd be on at about that time from the other direction ! We passed and I ran back with him cross country again - top day - my bikes ready now ......think time ....! Hmmmm. Really want to ride it with the " stoppers" off and try it properly ...

A great day riding, followed by a crappy car trip 270 miles south and a bd speed camera on the M25 zapping me at a speed that won't trigger an SAC frown

You sure it was a speed camera?
It might have been a John Deere tractor, flashing to say you'd managed to overtake it and could now get back into the left hand lane wink
