Same st, different year... following on from:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Plenty of opportunity to catch up with some of the usual suspects and hopefully some of the new guys/girls will also pop along to join in... we don't bite and egos are left at the door.

Weather is slowly improving if a little cold at present but I reckon another week or so and should be golden.

So who is interested? - or have you all sold your road bikes and bought track slags! biggrin

My road bike is my track slag but I'll be working every weekend unless I book it as holiday so may only make it to one or two of these.

Any Sunday I'm good. I've only been on my bike once since November and I almost had an almighty highside in a straight line so I put it away again. I'm just waiting for this latest round of grit to be washed away and I'll try get out and shake the cobwebs off.

I'm Keighley based, so not far from you. Yeah some nice roads up Haworth/Stanbury, that link up with Colne and take you out to Gisburn etc.

Gisburn is one of our meeting points, so that's a good one or a bit further over to Waddington and Slaidburn.

I've not ridden on the road since Sept or early Oct. it only takes 5 mins to get back on it though.

Warmer days are coming
woohoo

I go through Keighley when meeting up so you have no excuse being one of the closest. Although I do have a reputation of leaving people at petrol stations... Sorry Tom.

Haha, there is no excuse for this year now I have done a full 12 months commuting and riding on the Thundercat, as I have bit more riding experience now, and I have no problems been left behind if I know the route or my way home haha.

Loon, I can get to Waddington, as I have family in Clitheroe so that should be an easy meet point to for me if it happens to be that location.

I've only been twice but no one gets left behind. Everyone waits where there's any turn offs anyway. There's no idiots as well. Even loon who may come across as straight to the point and ruffles some feathers on here was a genuinely nice guy in person and more than helpful to everyone.
Don't ride behind yazza though as bits of his bike tend to fall off.

We mix it up and I'm out most weekends when it's dry. We tend to sort meeting points nearer the time anyway.

I don't think so ... he has just bought his first house with his bird so think he sold the R1 to help do some work on the house. I know he has plans to buy another road bike but not sure if that will be soon or not.
