That was unbelievable. Cannot believe I got to see rossi win a race. That ducati is so quick down the straight - how he did it I have no idea!

Proper special.
Superb eh? I was there at Donington for his 1st ever premiere class win in 2000 on the 500 NSR. Can't believe 15 years on he is still winning in that fashion!

I remember someone saying they didn't know what all the hype was about Rossi having only started watching Moto GP in the last few years, when he was floundering on the old ste ducati, might have been MTB who said it.

THIS is what makes him the greatest. fking incredible. Yet again he's re invented himself, learned new tricks and kicking ass!!

That was brilliant. Rossi's last two laps though! Don't often see him go full balls out ragged, had to gap Dovi and just did enough.

36 years of age! He's got another 10 years in him.

Hope the Ducatis keep this form up as well, 6 bikes battling at the front in two weeks please!

What great entertainment that was.

Ok the ducati's have slightly relaxed rules ( for the time being) but if it gives us racing like that who cares.

I should have had money on that. I said Rossi for the win and Lorenzo for the bin... okay I was only half right, but the right half!

That was awesome... Here's hoping every race this season is that exciting.

MM93 is a huge talent, but watching him bugger off into the distance a few times last year didn't make for interesting racing....

As for Vale, would love to see more of him doing this this season.

On the brakes. Until, Marquez came along he was the best in the world on the brakes.

That was amazing race. As others have said, I was also holding my hands in front of my face!

However, Rossi winning isn't as amazing as the speed of that Ducati. I wonder how many millions that has cost Audi...

Qatar is good for bikes with lots of straight line speed, so lets see what happens when we are at different tracks.

My money is on Marquez winning the next race.

Exactly , that long start/finish really helped ducati.

Still great to see the team happy after the last few nightmare seasons and the riders really positive.

what an amazing days racing

months waiting for it to be back and BANG, all classes were immense

I'm a big vale fan so over the moon for him but those Ducatis are sorted, Gigi has built a bike in no time that is competing with the best. No other manufacturer can get near their straight line speed and they now brake and corner too...
I think they were running medium compount tyres too?? so on par with the others and Ducati see no benefit if the extra fuel allowance as its a very frugal engine.

I'm just glad there now looks to be three manufacturers who can mix it for the win

Very suprised in a good way how the Suzuki performed, if they can gain some top speed they'll mix it enough to hold their own and become a force once again.

Can't wait for Texas

wow ! did not see that coming. one of the best races for a long time.never been one to buy into the goat proclamations (especially being a stoner fan) but that brought tear to my eye ,fantastic performance from the old man. hope this is indicative of the rest of the season,if so it will be a cracker. made up for lowes binning it,though he did get a get out of jail free card with zarco having problems and rabat going out.
well done to danny kent, was frightened to even mention him on the podium given some of the luck he has had the last few years, the outright speed he is showing will stand him in good stead the rest of the season.

Agree with most of that. Let's hope that's just a little taster of what's to come. I wonder what MM's race time was after lap 1 compared to the others, with rather a lot of overtakes, including 1 Pedrobot.

Let's see what the a Ducati can do like for like now.

Put it this was he was much further behind after T1 than when he finished the race...

For those that struggle with Vales moniker, lets put some perspective on it.
313 GP starts
109 GP Wins

Just think about that for a moment.
Stoner was good, very good, but his numbers don't even come close. And VR is still rocking the crowd at 36 years old after 20 years of GP racing.
Love him or not, there's no denying his achievements.
