Stoner a great rider but he would just spend all his effort moaning about everything and everyone, I hope dani can return
It would be a great shame if he has to retire, but a replacement In my eye Would be maverick vinales or alex rinse
But they have rides ?

Last few seasons the hrc was dominant, this year the others have caught up so stoner wouldn't have that advantage.
I don't get why people are dismissing rea just because he's riding a kawasaki?
If hrc wanted him surely they have the ability to buy him out of his current contract and for rea could he really turn down what's he's been wanting for years , a factory ride in gp.
Melandri was a class rider , i don't think a rider just looses that ability so i think he could be a very good wing man for marquez plus i don't think it would take much for him to jump ship.
WRT Dani Pedrosa and the possibility of him sitting out a few races whilst he finds a cure for his arm pump.
First choice for HRC needs to be a Honda stalwart that can do the bike justice. So we are then looking at test riders but they will not have been to Austin. So that leaves us with current Moto GP riders as anyone from WSB or Moto 2 wont have the testing time to do the bike justice and capture points for the Manufacturers Title.
So that leaves us with a choice between: Hayden --Abrahams--Crutchlow--Redding--Laverty. Of those only Crutchlow & Redding are actually on full blooded HRC bikes already. So they should be the prime candidate for any upgrades that HRC have to get them closer to the front to score good points.
Using that logic Cal was less than 5 seconds behind #93 at the finish so realistically it should be him. Or maybe HRC play it safe and give Hayden the bike as he could run 5th easily on a good bike ?
So place your bets on Crutchlow or Hayden for the full 2015 HRC Bike if Dani does sit out Texas.
The curve ball being that Scott was hugely impressive at COTA last year ?????

I lost interest last year, watched only two or three races. I watched quali on Saturday, Moto3 and the GP yesterday and was thoroughly entertained through all of it.
Great battle between Rossi and Dovi, not sure why Jorge trailed off which was disappointing, but the Ducatis doing well on race pace surprised and pleased me equally. Their bikes looked so much more composed through the corners than I've seen.

The foam came of his helmet and he had bad fogging issues.Great battle between Rossi and Dovi, not sure why Jorge trailed off which was disappointing, but the Ducatis doing well on race pace surprised and pleased me equally. Rossi certainly is a great tacticion but he is also a great ambassador to the sport,
He brings so much energy with that smiley face and has universal appeal,
A trait that Mr Marquez seems to have also ..
As does Bautista , very interesting bloke who will talk about the world outside of bike racing. He brings so much energy with that smiley face and has universal appeal,

I know what your saying about everything to loose. But how many racers have we seen do just that. There's no need for them to come back but it's in their blood and I don't think any of them trully believe they won't do very well until they try.Last few seasons the hrc was dominant, this year the others have caught up so stoner wouldn't have that advantage.

I'm thinking bayliss melandri and even people that continue(d) racing lesser bikes like Hayden and Edwards. the fairy tale is to retire at the top of your game and have people remember the best but I think in reality once you've sat on your thumbs for a few years I don't think all the fishing and golf in the world can satisfy what people like stoner had.

I highly doubt Stoner will come back for a full season, though possibly wouldn't rule out one or two races whilst Dani tries to figure out what's best for him. It would be such a sad end for Pedrosa's career if his arm rules him out of competition.
Whilst I am not his biggest fan, a) it would be a huge shame for him, b) a huge shame for Moto GP and c) a huge shame for us all.I really hope he is okay, but a temp Stoner, albeit not on a Ducati, would be awesome....

Stoner is contracted to Honda. He won't ride a Ducati again. I really hope he is okay, but a temp Stoner, albeit not on a Ducati, would be awesome....

People made so much fuss about Dani when he moved up and were expecting great things when he came up against Rossi on track. Turned out to be an anti climax. Rossi just sailed by him on the brakes. Its pretty much the same now.
Saying that, he is one of the 'aliens' and part of me will be sad to see him leave the sport.
If it is the end it's a shame the way it's come about, but I don't think losing him generally is particularly sad. He's as bland as the winner of Mr Dull 2015 on planet Boring. Saying that, he is one of the 'aliens' and part of me will be sad to see him leave the sport.
Having said that, his surgery will probably come good:

agreed, would be a real shame to see dani leave this way. i think its more than just arm pump though,he has had a helluva lot of tumbles over the years and it looks like they are taking their toll.Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
