What are your initial thoughts, before I rush out and buy it?
Actually really enjoying it to be honest.Opted for the Ducati as my first bike, the Triumph is a much better bike on spec so where's the fun in using that?
The underpowered little twin get's annihilated on the longer straights, however it corners and brakes well to you ride to it's advantages
Spent the evening and this morning (about 9-10hrs all in all) going through all the races for this bike, now time to sell her and upgrade.
Great little starter bike once goodies are added.
My ONLY gripe is with the loading times, even on my SSHD it is the slowest loading game I've experienced in a LONG time.
Unless I'm missing something there is no option to instal/load the game data to the SSHD upfront!?
I wonder if that will change on the Xbox ONE version when it comes out.
No.
the loading times are truly ridiculous despite having a SSHD...there is no way of installing the game data to HD so every time you change track or event it has to load from scratch...same again after each track or event when you want to go back to menu, or change bike or next race selection..... If the load times are better on the Xbox ONE version I'll be getting it on that too.....honestly they are that SLOOOOOW....... MEGA GAME though

I downloaded the demo last night and after being really disappointed initially I tried it again and although the graphics are a bit poo and the loading times are slow I really love the handling. Its the only bike game Ive tried where you get some of the actual feel of throwing a bike into the corners. I spent about an hour today playing the same bike and track on the demo and I love it now and will definitely be buying it.
Maybe they can sort the loading times and hard drive install with a patch.

I got my copy on Friday for PS3 and have played it a little over the weekend.
I love lots of it - the way the bikes 'feel' is really good.
You can move your weight forward and backward to control wheelies/stoppies.
As has been mentioned lots already the sound's not great and it takes AGES to load every time you click on a new race etc.
But overall, I like it!

The sound is basically the same audio for every bike except higher or lower in tone. So it sounds nothing like any bike. I wonder if perhaps the PS4 just has crap sound capability.
The loading times are flipping terrible as said before, made worse by having to click X to get through pointless screens.
The graphics aren't that great, you'd think this was a ps3 game.
It seems to handle quite nicely but gta on bikes is more playable. It doesn't have the realism of a simulator game or the fun of an arcade game, very strange.
The bike doesn't seem to have any relationship with the tarmac, would translate perfectly into some sort of ice skating game.
The price as usual is ridiculous, these sort of games should be £9.99 (drivecrap etc). They shouldn't be allowed to charge the same price as a COD or GTA game for what is basically a £2.99 iPad game.
Rating - Straight on eBay.
Whoever you are involved in driveclub please don't hack my ps4 again, its just my opinion.
