Why's that a thumbs down? He's one of the most talented bike riders around and the sport will be better off for having him racing again.

I wonder if bike endurance racing will see the resurgence that car endurance racing is seeing.

Some quality drivers , bored with constantly flying from track to track retire from the big league (f1) then race maybe a max of 6 times a year in endurance classes.

I don't know if it'll ever bring them the same $$$ though. Perhaps that's a good thing too. I like endurance racing.

Good news on Stoner. Someone posted this in another thread http://issuu.com/otormag/docs/otor_100/51?e=229737... . Thought it'll be a good idea to pop it back up in case some people missed it.

He doesn't seem to be great in car racing... so the call of the bike is too strong.

Maybe he'll do a couple of endurance events each year. His team mates better be good!

Another in the 'baffled why this gets a thumb down' camp here.

It seems the irony of those whingeing about Stoner every time he's mentioned is lost on them somewhat.

So he should stick at car racing , learn and get quicker ( unless he just doesn't enjoy it)

Didn't Lorenzo say in his book he wasn't naturally quick at riding bikes , he's had to learn and chip away gradually getting quicker and quicker.

To those of you asking why there is a thumbs down, the answer is blatantly obvious

The OP clearly has a dislike for the whining knob jockey

That may be true yet put him in a 2 wheel race and he does bring something to the show.

How can you here him whining when he is riding a GP bike? Seriously, those things are loud.

It's the before and after bits that piss people off. Maybe he should take a leaf from the Stigs book and just ride. Stay anonymous and keep the trap shut.

Ironically they both wrote books that pissed people off. I posted a few excerpts from Stoner's book on here last year. They did not go down well. biglaugh

In my opinion, as with all Australians, he should only be allowed to communicate using one-liners from the films, "Crocodile Dundee" and, "Chopper".
