Very sad to hear about the death of Dale Winfield, probably the owner of the largest collection of classic bikes in the UK, (along with Sammy Millar)...he didn't just store them in a dark warehouse to go dusty, he liked to share them with other fellow enthusiasts.....

His collection was worth millions of pounds......

If ever you get the chance to go, Winfield's is around five miles from Burnley, in Lancashire, where you will usually see a nice selection on display upstairs.

Ive been to Sammy Millars a couple of times (folks live in New Milton) so if his collection was ≥ to his, then it would be impressive.

RIP.

For avoidance of any doubt there was definitely a lot more to Dale than being a rich bloke with all the toys, although I suspect you meant no disrespect by the comment.
He was an amazing entrepreneur that built a retail empire through hard graft from a market stall background, and truly loved everything bike related.

My sympathies to his friends and family.

A solutely no disrespect. It was said in a congratulatory way.
