So what? it's not that fast, I've done that in the UK with a pillion & no kittens died.

It's irresponsible. On a road that busy and especially with a pillion.

But still, it's not really newsworthy in my opinion, and it's not that fast.

The clocks say I did, although I know they are 8% fast at all speeds I've tested so I might have been a few mph below that when it was indicating over 150.

I suspect he would have thought the camera bike was racing him. Just let it go...

He's a bit of a tt riding like that on the M11. There are always unmarked cars on that stretch and even if he wasn't speeding diving across all three lanes like that is a certain nick.

When I was a kid I used to get taken out on the bike and my stepdad would occasionally do this sort of speed after he got his almost new GSXR 1100 and wanted to push it. Also one of my uncles used to do wheelies whilst I was on the back. It was great fun.

Then again this was the 90's before bikers were all middle class, middle aged, Daily mail readers.

I died a couple of times, but folks were much tougher back then.

Anybody can drive fast, just twist that throttle, usually works.

Driving irresponsibility is something any one do as well.

148? Ha ha ha. Although I will be keeping the speed down after this, on all roads. Until I can't see anyone following.

Isn't it funny though, the camera vehicle without lights and sirens is perfectly legal to do the exact same speeds, yet is just as dangerous if we are to beleive the speed is dangerous bores.

Twice the limit and weaving. Yet I'm sure I've heard of people getting a couple of months in prison for less?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/80988...

^ That seems fairly comparable for speed and the weaving.

Not saying I agree with the severity of either case, but why isn't there more consistency?

I can see where the camera speedo reads 148mph but that's the speed the camera bike had to do to catch up, surely? Where's the video of the measured distance/constant speed to calculate from?

I'm betting that apart from possible wind noise it didn't feel that fast on a ZZR14.

Deserves it for not clocking the camera bike.

Even though it was unmarked, a bike making all the same moves as you when you're pressing on, yet doesn't want to pass? Rider bolt upright? Textiles? On a beemer (probably)? Panniers/tank bag?

Got to be rozzers.

Interesting, how do you know there was no sirens, the vid has no sound. I would like to think the skill of the police far exceed that of the average biker.
