£1,500 subsidy towards electric bikes now available from the government.

Great news, I've thought it odd for a while that cars get a handout but not bikes.

Does that mean they will charge more? Watt are they thinking? Ohmagawd...

Obvious there are positives and negatives for electric bikes, but I think there may be resistance from the public. They certainly have potential but it depends how much the manufacturers charge.
They might not be very light, and that ballast may prevent riding in a smooth arc on a circuit.
Hopefully this reduction will get more bikes on the ground, as an alternative to the bus.

It's their lack of range which is the biggest impedance.

that BMW scooter would be perfect for my work commute

£6k and it'll sell well in london.

I didn't think it was too bad, over the same period the BMW C650 GT scooter sold 23 and the C600 Sport version sold 5.

It was the second-best selling electric PTW in the UK (Yamaha's EC-03 being the biggest seller)
