I believe sir is looking for Seaways Cafe on the A166 towards Bridlington just East of York....! smile
That gets my vote over Squires every time, good tea, decent food (and puddings), cracking roads and views. Oh yes, and sheep skin rugs.
The only drawback is that it closes at 4pm.

Cheers,
Tom
That's one of my favourite destinations yes

There's also a cracking chippy in Wetwang further down the A166 too.

Just watch out in East/North Yorks for unmarked police video bikes & cars!

Just for once, I'd love to read about a 'bike cafe' that did decent (and reasonably-priced), food, amazing brews, both fancy and not and was in a nice part of the UK, so many people could get there and back, on a selection of routes..

Sigh

A few places exist - but bikers made the cafe/s in Finchingfield popular, they haven't gone out of their way to appeal to bikers
The Filling Station at Keswick is pretty good, at least they do a decent bean to cup coffee rather than the instant muck that's served everywhere else.

Went there with Loon last year, its local to me, there were a few plastic Sons of Anarchy members up there that day annoying pensioners but its a nice place, the surrounding scenery is stunning in every direction you want to go.

Uh huh! Unmarked Black/Grey Haysbusa last year I think.... The bends between Full Sutton and Garrowby Hill are one of my favourite stretches of road! Good call about Harpers of Wetwang too!

Cheers,
Tom

Only been once about twenty years ago, it was OK, nothing special, but loads of bikes there.

Favourite hangout is Devil's Bridge, followed by Matlock Bath, Rivington Barn and Hawes..

Even Matlock Bath is not a patch on the 1970's...(imo)...no interesting bikes, just generic Japanese stuff you can see anywhere.

There should be a sticky with good recommendations
