Hello there,

I need a little bit of help with identifying a yoshimura exhaust I have just bought from an auction. It had no description and no further details. Which is probably why I bought it fairly cheap.

Please see the pictures and if you have any questions fire away.

//edit
I am just wondering what size engine this exhaust would be suitable for. Which bike, or would it be universal?

Any help would be really appreciated.

Regards,

pac

Thnx for replying. Good idea but I can't find any part numbers on it at all.

At the engine side if the pipe are some numbers engraved which seem to relate to nothing at all. SSR508 ST C1 10 2
9 on the plate it just says yoshimura cyclone exhaust system.

I have been advised it looks like a can for a 600cc but that doesn't tell me much. Looking at the yoshimura website it looks like the honda cbr600rr titanium cans with carbon tip. But can't really says its that for sure.

All in all thanks for the suggestions, I was hopeing Simone would have one just like it on here , but doesn't seem to be the case.

Either way thanks for your help.

Regards,

pac

Could you elaborate?

Are you saying it could go on any make/engine size as long as its side mounted?

Sorry if these seem to be obvious things I am asking for but I have cbr125 and no experience with any type of bike mods.

I gather by now that I won't be having any use of this exhaust atleast untill I upgrade to 500rr some time this year.

Looks like either sticking it in the shed or eBay and most likely the latter.

I think he means that without a specific part number then it will be quite difficult to identify what bike it is designed for, unless you are familiar with it.

I'm sure that it could be made to fit most things if you found a decent fabricator.

Oh, crap .

I have looked at so many different yoshimura exhaust and a lot of them look exactly the same. I am surprised there don't seem to be any specific differences between them.

Lest resort I'll send email to yoshimura technical and see what they think. If any one can distinguish the cans surely must be them!

Hey,

Not sure if anyone is interested but after writing to them in Japanese I got a reply from yoshimura Japan :

Dear Sir,

The product you have purchased should be a slip-on for GSX-R1000, but we do not know if it would be the one is for K7-K8 or K9-L1.

Thank you for your confirmation and understanding.

Best regards,

I guess it won't be of much use on my cbr125 so to the eBay!

PS. If anyone's interested in buying it give me a shout biggrin
