41mm Flatslides R1

Hi all,
I fitted a ste of Flatslides to my trusty R1 today. Has anyone else done this because I'm stuck with throttle cables I've got one on but the return cable is far too long. The pull cable is also at its limit with a bit too much free play. Any way if you've done this can you remember what throttle cables you used?

Can you not just shorten the cables with some solderless ends from the local cycle shop (Halfords)?

I'm not sure I will measure them up and have a look. The throttle is quite heavy now so they would need to be double tight but worth a look thanks
