The whole context of this thread is laughable!
MM got a taste of his own medicine, he does exactly the same thing in every race!
It was only a matter of time; that "incident" has been waiting to happen for a long, long time.
What goes round, comes round!

I didn't see the race unfortunately, but just watched the clip...

As I see it MM was behind Rossi

Rossi rode as he does, he's in front and has nothing to do but to ride it to the finish line

MM is behind, that word being the most important to me, if he crashed trying to get past Rossi then I'm not sure how it can be anyone else's fault but his own!!

Now had he taken Rossi with him, I have no doubt he would have been apologetic about it

There's more Marquez hate in here than I thought there would be. I can't fault the kid. Love his style, love his attitude it's just a joy to watch someone loving what theyre doing and being at the top of their game.

I'm biased cos I've never liked him. He knew exactly where Marques was and what was most likely to happen if he took the line he 'needed' to. He is too prepared to risk other riders' lives, imho.
Much like F1 legend and rightfully vaunted hero Ayrton Senna?

Rossi is the hero. Marquez had it coming, he's been riding his luck for a long time and pulling that stunt over and over, someone was going to skittle him down the track sooner or later.

Totally MM's fault, an obvious red mist moment, during which he momentarily rode like an utter wnakpiece. Youth loses out to experience.

Completely baffled by the comments about Rossi always being willing to risk other peoples lives - what race series would that be in then, certainly not one that I've ever watched? Evidence? Examples? A few hard passes here and there, for sure, but as many commentators have observed over the years, it's bike racing, not a knitting circle.
Totally agreed. Comments a little perplexing on risking people's lives - especially if you remember back to his involvement in the Simoncelli death. He probably knows better than most what tragedies can happen.

MM is a who has been doing that to others for a long time. He rides like he is stock car racing and not on a bike where he can really hurt others.

Glad to see the prick get some comeuppance for his bullying style.

Yeah, what a nob he is. Enjoying what he does for a living. People doing one of the best jobs in the world should be miserable and moody all the time. And they should complain. About everything. All the time.

Marquez bit back too fast

100% his fault

Or the response I once heard one someone used that phrase trying to sound like a pro. "Or someone ends up wiping st off their dick"

Don't say that! I don't want a grid full of Cal Crutchlow's, one is enough

Have to say I really like Marquez, he races to win. Why wouldn't he, that's what makes him a champion. This time however it looks like a little rash on his part and as some else pointed out when visibly slower sometimes u can't win.
Rossi, what can I say? My hero smile and the Greatest.

I think MM is a great racer. He made a rash error of judgement after his first error to switch tyres on the grid. VR is a legend though and it's great to see him up there with a shout at the title this year.

The only way anyone can say he was to blame for this was if that person hadn't seen it. Two great racers elbow to elbow both racing to win, and one came off worse.

In all fairness to both of them, Rossi is a wise ol goat and made a great move and then held his line. Marquez was a bit wild n ragged and you could see his bike moving around quite a bit under him. He's a young and very fast racer who simply overcooked it a touch.. A great little tussle..

Absolute hero. What a competitor still after all these years?!

Will be interesting next time they go wheel to wheel though. They are both absolutely ruthless when it comes to the championship.

Can't believe the hate for MM. He's not Biaggi for crying out loud biggrin

It's racing, and luckily both MM and VR haven't bhed and moaned like you get in F1 (other motorsports are available).

I'm a big MM fan, he rides right on the limit and really hustles his bikes - and yes this sometimes catches him out. VR is also great, but they have very different riding styles IMO and MM's almost comes across as larking about/taking the piss he throws the bike around that much.
