That's the most terrifying offer I've ever had thanks Steve!

I leave them on all the time. My experience is that urgent/emergency situations don't give me enough warning to switch to aids back on again and ABS has saved me from a spill a couple of times.

I don't have any electronic aids on my supersport bike, but if I did I would keep them on.

On my 600 I rarely wheelie on the road by mistake, so i'd set anti-wheelie low, but leave it on. I also don't break traction often, but do enjoy it when I do so in a controlled manner, so i'd set that on the lowest setting too.

ABS though would certainly be on though!

I nearly binned a ZXR400 when I locked the front wheel - I came very very close to losing it but saved it - this taught me a valuable lesson, and one I needed - it's scary to think new riders could get on a pre-modern bike and not know how to deal with a front wheel lock up.

Having learnt this lesson come similar circumstances I could save it, but I would rather know it couldn't happen again, when I once every blue moon manage to panic brake - like when a dhead pulled out in front of me in November, on a wet morning and I braked too hard, began to lowside, rectified it, then highsided and broke my neck.

Generally left them on with the S1K but had it in slick mode to allow small wheelies, the other modes cut power way too much.
The ABS & DTC did fail on me a couple and I preferred the braking without ABS, as the abs kicked in if the rear started to lift a nadge, which gave an inconsistent lever feel.

The TC on my 1198 is dire, but probably the one I have the least issue with as it's truly passive most of the time, but as long as it's not married to anti-wheelie. On the 1198 it chimes in mid-wheelie when it feels like it, so that's turned off as well.
Pete,

What tyres do you have fitted to the 1198?? There was an issue with the early Ducati TC that if you ran anything other than the original supplied tyres, the TC would not work properly as the rolling diameters changed. The system had no means of recalibration so you were screwed. Nemesis did bring out a TC module that allowed you to intercept the front wheel signal and fudge it so the TC thought all was well.
With the standard tyres the system works well. With anything else, you're lucky if it works at all!!
I'm running 190/55 at rear - Pirelli Rosso Corsas. It's a run out 2011 model so I would hope it's fixed. When it chimes in, you get stacatto pops and then it takes a half second to clear its throat before normal throttle behaviour. It's at its most dangerous/worst when exiting a third gear corner, hard on the gas and the front lifts with some lean on. If the throttle farts power cuts, then clears its throat and lunges, you can imagine how that upsets the bike. You pogo out of the bend, all over the place.

I've got ABS on my CB, only had it kick in once that I've noticed. I dont ride round like I'm on a hot lap but I've given it some stick.

I guess the other bits depend in the bike and systems. If I was sticking them on my bike I could see a use for TC. Anti wheelie not so much but with more power/torque maybe.
