I check mine in the morning after an hour or so after being in the Warner's then straight away as soon as I come in after a session

My pressures using Dunlop slicks are 32 front and 22 rear

Cold tear usually happens in the mornings when the track temp is cold

This system works for me
I do exactly the same. Check hot off the warmers and re-adjust hot off the track. Works for me.

Need to start doing this. I kinda don't bother my arse once on warmers. Could explain a lot of my problems.

as per everything i did it the half arsed way. pestered loon/graham about what pressures they should be cold before warmers. put them in the wrong way round, then when i realised what an idiot id been i just roughly dropped the rear and roughly pumped up the front. Id never ridden on anything as sticky as super corsas so they felt amazing to me anyway even to the point of getting my knee down in the damp which i thought id die doing but it just happened. They were roughly around what was recommended to me but i never checked again throughout the day or when they were warm.

Ive got so much more to buy that i didnt realise before my next day but my own warmers a decent pump and good quality pressure gauge are top of the list.

Is there different track and road ones? I'm pretty sure mine are the road ones if there is. I know you can get different compounds but mine just look like road tyres that are just super sticky compared to sportsmarts I'm used to.

You'd know the difference I suspect.

My old track bike had them and even on my second evening on track I was like wow

I don't really have much to say about the road compound. Does the job, never feel like the tyre is struggling never ever.
But maybe this is a bit physiological I never think wow this tyre is Amazing. Be interesting to see if there is a difference when I go to replace them to Race compound.

I don't need it but it's nice to spoil yourself and that's reason enough.

Definitely. So much is in your mind. I've no doubt the majority of modern tyres are so much better than I am but I've had some road tyres where I've just not trusted and rode like crap because I couldn't feel or trust what I was doing. As soon as I replaced them I felt immediately better even though I replaced them for similar type tyres and nothing special.

Buy some supercorsa scrubs. Doesn't matter which compound, SC1 or SC2. You can get a 120 front and either 180's or 200's rear for £100 that's done about 15 laps.

Where do you get scrubs from. It always seems to be from people in the know...and I'm not in the know ha. I've only used the normal places for road tyres or online so never really spoken to anyone about scrubs.

Get down to Oulton for BSB. Wonder about the pits and you will see them for sale all over the show.

Or

Both forums are worth joining, motoforum has a very active for sale section, TDR is a great place to talk about Trackdays.

These were brand new before a day at Donnington, plenty of tread at max lean and upright, knackered at 45 degrees. I blame Coppice!

Sorry, but whys that tyre knackered, surely it just needs a bit of scrubbing up? or am I being dense?

It doesn't show it particularly well, but the tread was down to 2mm at 45 degrees but still 5-6mm on the crown. Instead of being an even radius to corner on, it was 'gouged out'. Probably all in the mind, but it felt like it wobbled all over the place when on the road...

For reference, here's my rear after a quick trip to the track today.
Suspension is feeling nice, seems to be wearing well save the slight rebound lift on the tread tells
