I've had a couple of very different experiences recently.

I ordered a new aftermarket wing mirror and it arrived really quickly, was a great fit and was well priced. (M&P)

I ordered a rear brake light switch after my bike failed its MOT and got the wrong part twice in a row from a different well known supplier. I still haven't had the refund and the fact that I've been off the road for three weeks waiting for parts has meant that I've burned £300 in train fare that I wouldn't have had to if I'd been on the bike. In the end I got a genuine Honda part from Lings who were excellent if eye-wateringly expensive.

So who would you recommend so that I don't make this mistake again?

I used Wemoto, Robinsons Foundry, Crooks Suzuki, and eBay of course, had no real issues with any of them (apart from the usual tossers on eBay obviously).

Sadly it was Wemoto that sent me the wrong part followed by a part that while it was supposed to be right had the wrong connector. I guess it's a lesson to go with genuine parts.

For HOnda have you not tried David Silver Spares? I haven't used them for a few years but they were always excellent back then.

It was the first place I looked, they just didn't have a rear brake light switch.

I always use Fowlers for genuine parts http://www.fowlers.co.uk/parts/ and generally Wemoto for pattern, although I've also had various new and second hand bits from e-bay, and second hand bits from the owners forum.

One of my best mates owns a motorcycle shop, as well as being the main agent for certain helmets and clothing.

I get everything from him cool
