Snetterton Track day report
Discussion
Might be worth a quick check over to see it is all standard.
A previous owner of ours presumably lost the tube that sits inbetween the bearings on the front wheel, made a new one that is 5mm too long so decided in their wisdom to mill 5mm off the collared spacer so it all lines up!!
Nowt as queer as folk hey!?
That is why I couldn't run my mates wets on it at Anglesey because we couldn't line it all up.

This is the session I let sc0tt in front of me, until I passed him on the back straight. Let the riding criticism commence!

Weird, I think the spacers are ok but it's odd they're all fked. The dymag spacers can only go one way I know that. Will have a good check when the bearings are out. I think if I can sort this and get to a point where I can turn in and not feel an overwhelming sense of impending death I might go alright on it.

Nice and sensible first lap I'd say
Another vid, start from when I'm behind sc0tt, I scrap my peg about 6:20 (and jump!) and mitzy pushing her OWN bike into the garage :O

Some more videos and pics.
First video is last session - was my best tussle with one of the Smallboys 600s. Leading him from the start until he gets away from me and I started to feel like I was going to make a classic last session mistake. He had the legs in the straights and initially I was just out braking him, but I think he cottoned on that he could brake later and he was gone.

(Video might still be processing)
My fly past on the start/finish straight, Love it, genuinely feel cool as fk watching it.

I could prob get my knee down if I got off the seat!
Crazy tree:
Still loving the tyre warmers and my dayglo bike makes it easy to spot in pics:
Fast group, weather definitely started to get more overcast as the day went on:
These were my lap times from the final session (almost definitely my fastest):
02:24
02:16
02:19
02:14
02:11
I remember asking Fleegle what gear he was in at the first corner at the end of the straight and he said 4th, mitzy and I both laughed when we each said 2nd!
96th Bomb Group memorial at the entrance is pretty cool:
Passed a big column not far from Snetterton, anyone know what it is? I should have stopped to get a pic!

Tony posted a 2:14 and a 2:09
What timing gear are you using?
2:10 is fast group.
This is not going to end well. What timing gear are you using?

I posted a time using my lap timer on 675's stopwatch, I was 1 second out from my (manually entered) claimed time when I returned and was timed by loon...it has to be to the nearest tenth
how the fk are you going to explain 30 seconds....

Not at all. Fair play if he did. But the video shows a 2:50I posted a time using my lap timer on 675's stopwatch, I was 1 second out from my claimed time when I returned and was timed by loon...it has to be to the nearest tenth
As I said quite some improvement.
so we are talking 40 seconds, I was doing mostly 60 second laps round knockhill some 61's, I got one and I mean one registered time at 58.94s when I said that to mckeann he called bullst.
I was made to feel like a cheat.
Same with when I claimed 2m at oulton using the triumph stopwatch (which you have to manually enter) loon timed me stuck behind a Ducati for a few laps, then the lap I over took a 2m01.6 or .7 and I was again made to feel like a naughty school boy for 1 second, 40 should be good.
a 2m14 is what fleegal is doing and GWM matched it. I will buy him a big fat chocolate apology cake if this is true, no, no ill bake him one.

I'm not stirring gareth, no reason to disbelieve you. But i was timing tony on my iphone lapping him as he came past when the girls werent jabbering.
If you youtube snetterton fast a 2:10 look to be a solid fast group pace.
Fair play to you. I just nicked the 2:50 from one of your vids.

Thanks, was very impressive and unexpected when I went past it. Nice part of the country there. moanthebairns said:

Hahaha, no I must have ballsed up somewhere as that can't be right. If I can barely keep up with folk in Novice there's no way I was doing "fast" times. Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
