Bars that are too wide, on a bike that has traditional tubular handlebars, are easily changed or modified with a hacksaw.

P.S. My old Triumph Sprint with Renthals fits through a 3 foot gate with the fairing mirrors folded in, so a DT shouldn't be too much trouble.
