I'm all weather on the scooter,
Do you need waterproof trousers or is there enough protection from the front of the scooter?

I only use my bike for the 11 mile (each way) daily commute so about 500 miles since mid April.

As an aside - I'm getting 200 miles per tank from a GSXR 1000! Woopwoop!

Probably around 2-3k odd. Commute around 25 miles round trip every weekday. Also been doing an IAM course since Jan, so lots of weekend ride outs, plus extra practice in the evenings. Did have a week off over Easter and another for half term just gone. But also had bike laid up for week as I trashed it. frown

Either way, I ride year round, rain or shine, averaging about 7-8k a year. There's no such thing as bad weather, just bad gear.

Annual highland run is in a few weeks, that's the start of the season for me.

Almost managed 300 miles on my MV in the last 4 weeks.
Had mine since March 1st and try get out most weekends. Currently on 2300 miles

I reckon I'll do about 7500 miles a year all in fair weather only

I'm not to bothered about the cold or rain but I don't set off out on a ride in it. If it starts while I'm out then I carry on.

I have got my gimp suit I put on though..

Done about 1800-2000 miles in past couple months.

I wonder whether there is a (negative) correlation between time spent posting on BB and time riding your bike?

Scooter keeps feet dry and I have a Puig tall screen too which really helps. If it's hoofing it down then I use waterproofs, but otherwise you stay pretty dry other than your arms. My commute is only 4 miles each way, but I occasionally commute all the way in by scooter which is about 23 miles each way. Right tool for the job - I love it!

1000 on track
1500 on road (500 of these were commuting)

Normally id do 6,000 a year easy on the road, but this year has been utterly pish.

I think I've had 3 or 4 proper rides on the road, every weekend its chucking it down or windy and 5 degrees.

I was going to commute to work by bike but its fking boring as hell, cold, wet, un comfy, im too tired, saves me little time and money.

I'm increasingly wondering wtf is the point in 2 road bikes.

The weather really hasn't been that bad. Stop using it as an excuse and get out there.
When I've not been working it has been cold and/or wet, therefore not motorcycling weather.
Do you work permanent nights or something?

I do 50-60 hour weeks and live in Scotland and I manage.

I easily could have done more but I have shed loads I can't get out of, it's not the weather's fault.

Carpe Diem Nigel wink

Ah sorry didn't mean to imply it was a club. Just a few mates do it annually.

9.9 miles to the MOT station last Friday.

Off to the TT this Friday.

Not a good year for the miles, last year I rode to Barcelona for the MotoGP. (SORN since then)
