I'm all weather on the scooter,
Do you need waterproof trousers or is there enough protection from the front of the scooter?I only use my bike for the 11 mile (each way) daily commute so about 500 miles since mid April.
As an aside - I'm getting 200 miles per tank from a GSXR 1000! Woopwoop!

Probably around 2-3k odd. Commute around 25 miles round trip every weekday. Also been doing an IAM course since Jan, so lots of weekend ride outs, plus extra practice in the evenings. Did have a week off over Easter and another for half term just gone. But also had bike laid up for week as I trashed it.
Either way, I ride year round, rain or shine, averaging about 7-8k a year. There's no such thing as bad weather, just bad gear.

1000 on track
1500 on road (500 of these were commuting)
Normally id do 6,000 a year easy on the road, but this year has been utterly pish.
I think I've had 3 or 4 proper rides on the road, every weekend its chucking it down or windy and 5 degrees.
I was going to commute to work by bike but its fking boring as hell, cold, wet, un comfy, im too tired, saves me little time and money.
I'm increasingly wondering wtf is the point in 2 road bikes.

The weather really hasn't been that bad. Stop using it as an excuse and get out there.
When I've not been working it has been cold and/or wet, therefore not motorcycling weather.I do 50-60 hour weeks and live in Scotland and I manage.
I easily could have done more but I have shed loads I can't get out of, it's not the weather's fault.
Carpe Diem Nigel
