Does anyone do this at work? I haven't tried them before but my first impression was that they could be too warm indoors and maybe itchy?

Yep I do it for most of the year, knee pads in and all.

I wouldn't recommend it around Jun-Aug and when it's raining but apart from that I wear them all day quite easily.

Yep I wear Furygan kevlar jeans all day at work and don't normally bother taking them off when I get home, so I wear them for 12+ hours a day.

The key is D3O armor, it's flexible enough to be confortable all day, yet good enough that when I slid down the road in my texiles with the same armor I didn't even realise my knees had impacted the ground.

Obviously I only wear them when it's dry and over about 10-12 degrees in the morning, but they feel like normal jeans. I'll be buying a 2nd pair, Hood ones this time as I wear them so much.

The thickness/usability of the jeans varies massively from manufacturer to manufacturer. The Hood ones that I tried were incredibly thick, heavy and badly cut. If they fit you then that's great but they're not all the same.

I ended up with a pair of end of line Sartso's which have been great. They are heavier than normal jeans but if you're in an air conditioned office then you'll be fine.

I have in the past. It's fine as long as it's not red hot. They are thicker than normal jeans but still comfy to wear.

Not really work but wore them all day long touring in the States last summer, even off the bike.
They might be hot in a warm building, but they're also thick enough that in direct, scorching desert sun they actually keep you cool.

I happily wear my RST's all day at work, and my wife wears her Draggin's - but only when it's a dry ride in as I have a 30 mile commute...

used to wear draggin jeans/combats in the office, but they faded really badly, plus a few stones got flicked up at them when on the commute so they looked a bit tatty. very thick and too hot for the office.

I've been wearing the ones Biker Nemesis kindly bought for me all week.

Bull-it ones, very thick, even riding to work in 5 degrees they don't feel chilli.

They are generally quite comfortable, look great and aren't too hot at all, though I like it hot.

The one thing doing my tits in is the knee armour though, it rubs against my knees all day, and with it being on the inside of the leg I'm too lazy to take it out.

definitely the way forward though. So comfy riding to work with.

Pretty much all ive worn for the last 4 years or so when riding on the road. Got some 2/3 layer thick Kyrano(hood) G8 jeans that are great most of the year. I wear some long johns with them for winter, but they are too thick for daily hot summer use (say 25deg+ so not that often in the UK!) Wash them in Nikwax waterproofing stuff from time to time, just enough to keep you dry through the odd shower.

I Have a pair of Hood K7 single layer kevlar for summer. Both pairs came with the D30 flexible armour which I find more comfy than some other types of armour Ive had before

I bought some Hood jeans a few years back, but don't bother with them anymore as they are so hot, but the Draggin jeans I had before were fine in the office. Shame they looked really tatty around the waist and pockets after only a year.

Does anyone know what are the lightest, coolest kevlar jeans nowadays?
