Enjoy! Monza's one of my favourite tracks - utter mental speed everywhere. Curve Grande (first big right after first chicane) is top end of 5th gear even on standard road (i.e. very long) gearing.

Nightlife is not as good compared to Spanish ones, partly because everyone's sat there with 1000 yard stares and overheated brains from the day.

P.S. It's proper hard on brakes - make sure you've got enough pads.
Ive heard its mega quick! Cant wait. Apparently curve grande is insanely quick........ Need to make sure I keep it sunny side up.

In regards to nightlife, we have a couple of nice restaurants lined up. I dropped my bike off to Focusedevents yesterday and they confirmed there is only 35 of us going. There will be an additional 40 locals so all in all should get lots of open track time with minimal traffic smile

Had a go on this today at the Bike Fest in Llangollen. Was quite intimidating watching others have a go. Popping and crackling, the exhaust note was something else. Reminded me of a v8.
Big respect to those who can do wheelies. They are very hard to hold and keep going.

Very nice I was gonna head for Skye also, but a last minute glimpse of no clouds took me north to Durness..

Part of the country I'm not familiar with, revisited childhood haunts on Skye, nice to reminisce...

Bought the OH a car this weekend, so negotiated a new exhaust for the bike.

Picked it up on Friday PM, fitted by Saturday AM. The noise is cloud9

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it for the first time, the way my girlfriend was describing it I was expecting it to be.. well, not a full bike! hehe

Very happy with what I have to start with and will of course try some new oil and petrol to see what needs doing and where to start etc. But I cannot start on it until I am moved in as there is still loads to sort in the house and garden before I think about the bike frown

No doubt you'll be hearing more from me soon, and when it's up and about I'll have to come visit your amazing collection!

Yeah if you have all the bits it makes life a lot easier! If you get stuck drop me a line and I'll help if I can smile

Just make sure you document things as you take them off - it's easy to go nuts and take it apart and wonder what goes where! Buy loads of little clear bags and label all the nuts and bolts as you take them off!

Be good to see you progress smile

It's got all the bits plus extras scattered around in boxes in the garage! biggrin

For once I am actually going to THINK about what I am doing when it comes to this hehe

I'll stick a thread up when I eventually get round to starting!

Well that was indeed a bikey weekend. 750 or so miles around Scotland (I live in Fife), but my riding buddy was from Norfolk, so he had around another 400 miles each way before and after the trip. So 3 days of B-roads and single-track roads wherever possible. Surprisingly the first 2 days were dry, and the rain on the final day was limited to showers and we dried off quickly enough afterwards so no need for waterproofs - in Scotland smile

Loads of photos, but a few to share...

Day 1 - Brunch in Braemar

Day 2 - Somewhere in Sutherland

Day 3 - Riding buddy choosing lunch in Ullapool

Day 3 - We didn't skimp on lunch smile

Day 3 - Ready for the next couple of hundred miles...

Day 3 - Eilean Donan Castle

Day 3 - Glencoe
