Sorry more car related but might interest some of you.
Went for a quick local run today had a good run out roads surprisingly quiet for a bank Holliday weekend
Anyway on my way home I suddenly had a light bulb moment and remembered the the Gold Cup was on at Oulton this weekend so I called in.
Made up I saw 3 of my favourite cars. Group B monsters Pug 205 and Audi Quattro didn't manage to get any photos of them though.
And this 1988 Le Mans winner XJR-9 ( I think )
An Ex Jody Scheckter F5000 Trojan
Also saw one of these Alfa's I can't recall ever seeing one before, but it looked a bit special.

That Jag, one of the best looking race cars ever imo.
Certainly is. I've never seen one in the flesh before it's even better than it looked on the posters on my bedroom wall as a kid. It was like petrol head heaven there today. I even saw something very tasty parked down the road. I need to ride a little slower / stop to find out what it is. Whatever it is it from the short glances I have had it looks like a Ferrari GTO. I've seen it parked in the same spot a couple of times now.
Whatever it is I wouldn't be leaving it outside my house to tempt the whole world to pinch it.

You weren't turning right at Sandiway Shell station traffic lights at 5pm-ish were you? A very similar bike turned up behind me (CBR400 white red blue), I pulled over to the side to let him past so I could follow. I like following, much prefer riding in company, even if I don't know who they are, it's fun to see if I can stay with them, and I just like the sound of several engines accelerating together. Maybe this is odd and a bit sad. I need to get out more. The other guy knew I was there but didn't seem up for being leader. It was the most well behaved R1 I've encountered, so I turned back at Northwich roundabout.Went for a quick local run today had a good run out roads surprisingly quiet for a bank Holliday weekend

The 205 is a recreation by Terry Pankhurst, you being local will remember him for building the Dimma cars in Weaverham! A mate of mine knows him well and that 205 is pretty damn special.

I certainly do remember that. Lovely things they were can't be many of those about anymore. The 205 is a recreation by Terry Pankhurst, you being local will remember him for building the Dimma cars in Weaverham! A mate of mine knows him well and that 205 is pretty damn special.

Yup that was me.
Sorry to disappoint. I'd rather not do anything daft right next to where I live. Or on a road littered with speed cameras + camera vans.
What a coincidence! No disappointment at all, more a pleasant surprise that I could keep up with an R1! I'm also quite fond of a clean licence Sorry to disappoint. I'd rather not do anything daft right next to where I live. Or on a road littered with speed cameras + camera vans.
